As you are probably well aware of by now, Nvidia announced a new refreshed version of their Nvidia Shield Android TV unit, which subsequently when up for pre-orders a few days after the reveal at CES 2017. Google has gone through all of the submissions for the Google Play Indie Games Contest that was announced back in November 2016, and have finally picked out the Top 20 finalists who will move on to the next round of eliminations. Out of the 20 games selected, only 7 have yet to be released, which gives us a sort of heads up about a few upcoming games that must be titles to keep an eye out for.

Well we are barely 2 weeks out of the holiday season and as usually all the game sales during the holiday period have pretty much ended. However, there are some games currently on sale right now that you can check out, including the six games Kemco put on sale a couple of weeks ago.

The President of Wizards of the Coast, Chris Cocks, released an announcement yesterday which touched on the company’s plans for the digital version of their Magic the Gathering game.
Back in November 2016 we reported on a new Star Wars game heading our way soon from NetMarble called Star Wars: Force Arena. After a pre-registration period of a couple of months, the game has finally gone live on Google Play for everyone to download and start playing.
There are only a few countries out in the world that do not have access to Pokemon GO, along with other Augmented Reality games, and one of those happens to be China. While most other countries don’t have it because of things like translations and so on, China doesn’t have Pokemon GO, and won’t have it, until the government there finished evaluating the ‘risks’ it may pose.
Gameloft has been working on their latest addition to the Gangstar franchise is appears as the new Gantast New Orleans game has been released (soft launched) onto iOS. This would mean that the Android version isn’t too far off with its release as well. When it comes to soft launches by Gameloft, those titles usually appear in a full launch within a month or so, unless something big bug-wise is found of course.
Tiny Epic Studios have released their old school style platformer in select regions today on Android called Samurai Saga. This game actually has a bit of a older Shinobi style to it with regards to its gameplay, although the visuals are a little more up-to-date, and it comes with a physics engine in it as well.
Next on the list, after the rather entertaining Asus press conference, is the Samsung Press Event. Will we see an official Galaxy 8 announcement or Geavr VR related goodies? Who knows, but chances are there will be a lot to do with TVs and smart home appliances. If that’s your thing, you’ll be happy. We are hoping for some mobile related news to come out of this event.
