Extreme Developers, the studio behind Need for Drift and Iron Tanks, has released a new space combat game earlier this month onto Google Play. Tabbed as Space Jet, this sim focuses on live aerial dogfights against friends or other players around the globe.
Kemco has been releasing video games for decades, and lately releases mostly JRPGs for Android. Much like other developers and studios, they are putting a bunch of their games on sale for Christmas. The normal pricing for these games is typically $3.99 and up, but they’re all being marked down to $0.99 for the sale, and should remain there until January 4th.
Released by Steampunk Wizards, Whack A Geemie. Played in a similar way to Whack-A-Mole, players will seek to smack down a bunch of Geemies. What changes it around though is that you’re not haphazardly whacking anything that has the misfortune of rearing its head, as there is a spinner in the background that functions like a slot machine.
Released by Modoc Entertainment, Spin-Circle has just been released on to Google Play. The game is very minimalist in nature, as players are controlling a single dot that can move about a single ring. Players will look to avoid incoming projectiles, typically red or blue and they come in simple, geometric shapes.
Released by Einheit B, Cavernaut is a simple steering game. Players will assume the role of a pilot who is attempting to fly a ship from the bottom of a cave, up to the service. Along the way up, players will trying to snatching up little crystals that can be exchanged for a variety of upgrades.
Released by Devolver Digital, Not a Hero is a platform game that is coming to Amazon’s Fire TV. In this game, players will assume the role of Steve, who was formerly an assassin for hire who has gone strait. Steve will answer the call to help his city. The call, interestingly enough, comes from an anthropomorphic rabbit and mayoral candidate from the future named BunnyLord.
Square Enix, the company behind numerous big franchises on multiple platforms, has put a bunch of their games on sale. Franchises that are a part of this sale include Final Fantasy, Hitman, Chrono Trigger and more.
Point-and-click adventure game Shadowgate is now available on Google Play and Amazon’s Appstore
Released by Zojoi and Reverb Triple XP, desktop classic Shadowgate is now available for Android and Amazon devices. The game was originally designed for Macintosh and Amiga systems nearly thirty years ago, but being point-and-click allows it to easily translate to modern, touch-based handsets. This isn’t a straight port from the late 80s though, as gameplay had been updated along with achievements, cut scenes, and new puzzles having been added in as well.
Kamcord, the company that live streams mobile gaming, has announced an update to their streaming services today. Up until now, the previous setup with Kamcord (and other apps for that matter) for streaming required special hookups and a desktop machine. Now, anyone with an Android device is able to stream their gameplay at any time, something that YouTube Gaming recently added to their application as well.
