The Grow a Garden Foil Method is an updated version of the Sprinkler Method. But this time, it requires a few extra steps… and a few extra pets! Our guide goes through everything you need to know.

Grow a Garden Foil Method
Let’s get straight into it.
How To Do The Foil Method
Keep in mind that if you use this method, you can’t leave the game and go AFK. Pet abilities don’t work offline, and as this method requires pets, you have to stay!
Lightning Rod
To start the method, it’s recommended that you have a Lightning Rod. You can purchase this from the Gear Shop for 1,000,000. Keep in mind you don’t have to have this for the Foil Method to work, but it’s recommended that you do.
Once you have it, place it down in the centre of your garden. Now, you’ll want to place the seeds of your choice around the Lightning Rod in a circle. If you decide not to use this rod, simply place the seeds in a bundle close together.
Players suggest you use the Lightning Rod as it increases the chance for your crops to get the Shocked Mutation, which increases the value by x100.
Sprinklers
Similar to the Sprinkler Method, you’re going to need one of each Sprinkler. You can purchase these from the Gear Shop. If they aren’t in stock, you only have to wait 5 minutes for the shop to reset.

- Cost: 25,000
- Advanced Sprinkler
- Cost: 50,000
- Godly Sprinkler
- Cost: 120,000
- Master Sprinkler
- Cost: 10,000,000
You’ll want to place the Master Sprinkler down first in the area where you have already planted your seeds. Then place down the Godly, then Advanced, and then Basic. Make sure you put them on top of each other.
Moon Cats
The final step is to place down Moon Cats in your garden. The more Moon Cats you have, the better.
You used to be able to purchase these from the Twilight Shop, which was part of the limited-time Lunar Glow Event. Therefore, at the moment, these are unobtainable. You can ask in the Grow a Garden Discord if someone is willing to trade their Moon Cat, but be careful, as people may try and scam you.
Place as many Moon Cats as you can in your garden while the Sprinklers are on. These pets have an ability where every minute, they will take a nap for 20 seconds. Crops within range will be x1.5 larger. There is also a 6% chance that moon-type fruits will stay after harvest.
With Moon Cats roaming around, as well as multiple Sprinklers on, the Foil Method is used to grow extremely large crops, which sell for more. If you decide to use a Lightning Rod, these big crops may get the Shocked Mutation, increasing the value even more.
