Delicious: Taste of Truth is now out mobile. It’s the newest title in the long-running GameHouse Original Stories series. This time, Emily, Patrick, and their kids are hitting the road through America’s South.
What begins as a family trip unravels into something different
The story opens with Emily and Patrick juggling parenting, careers, and their daughter Paige’s growing obsession with social media. One day, Patrick receives an unexpected letter from his estranged father Paddy, inviting the family to Florida.
What was supposed to be a sunny visit spirals into a journey across the South after a buried family secret comes to light. It reopens old wounds and makes some revelations that can either heal or break them apart.
As the O’Malleys follow the trail of truth, you take on six different restaurants with different themes and recipes. Of course, you get the usual time management format, with the rush of cooking dishes, serving quickly, and upgrading kitchens.
Delicious: Taste of Truth has 60 story-driven levels. Also, there are 30 extra challenge levels that test your multitasking skills. There are many mini-games in between the levels and upgrades that let you tweak your menu and hire helpers.
You can also decorate each restaurant as you like. Paige’s photo journal is there as well, letting you unlock pictures along the journey. You can also collect pieces to build a mural around the theme of memory and family legacy.
Delicious: Taste of Truth is part of a series that has been running for two decades
The Delicious series started back in 2006 with the first game simply called Delicious. With Emily as the main character, the series grew with cooking challenges and character-driven storytelling.
Over the years, the series has expanded into more than a dozen mainline Delicious titles along with multiple spin-offs. There are also crossover games where Emily appears alongside other characters from the GameHouse Original Stories lineup.
