Do you have the Need for Speed? What about the need for mobile speeding? Well, if you do have that highly unethical urge, TiMi Studios’ Need for Speed Mobile is currently starting an extremely specific closed beta.
Join the Need for Speed Mobile beta
Set in an open world environment — seemingly the same one from Need for Speed: Heat — this new racer is the portable NFS game we’ve been waiting for. Unfortunately, it’s not available to us at this time.
A leaked video of gameplay from a few months ago — via Gaming on Phone — shows an impressive-looking mobile racer. A 45-second clip sees high-speed sports cars barrelling through Miami-style streets.
Developer TiMi Studios has started a private beta for the upcoming game. While the recruitment offer for the new game is public, it’s only available for gamers in China. (Or maybe some clever players with VPNs.)
In order to sign up, head over to this sign up page. In order to successfully sign up, you will need a QQ ID. The ability to translate the page into Chinese will help as well. If successful, you may be able to receive an invitation to play early this month.

What is in the beta?
There’s not much available in the beta at the time of writing. However, what is there does sound very intriguing for fans of the series.
Alongside the open world, special solo tracks are included for individual challenges. These include huge ramps, loop-de-loops and more for you to style on.
In its current state, only three cars are available to play with. However, they are real, licensed cars. The included vehicles are the McLaren F1, Lamborghini Aventador and the Lamborghini Gallardo.
In this early state, Need for Speed Mobile looks incredibly promising. Yes, it will be annoying to wait for its western — or worldwide — launch, but it does look phenomenal.
