If you’ve come across the Random Heroes games, you probably have an idea of what to expect from Noodlecake Studios’ works: glorious, 8-bit textured games that seem over the top simple so you give it a try….. aaand boom, you’re hooked. Their new game, Horde of Heroes, does not fall far off from granting a similar scenario to those who try but it does offer a bit of a refreshing experience with the integration of Puzzle-RPG mechanics.

Virtual Reality with the Oculus Rift is Still Coming to Mobile Devices, But it is Being “Held Back” With a Focus on “Polishing It”
The Oculus Rift was at one point solely focused on gaming. Since the company behind it, Oculus VR, was purchased by Facebook things have changed with social media playing a role in its future along with games. There are still plans to bring the Oculus Rift to mobile devices, as in Android devices. When questioning Oculus VP of Product Nate Mitchel on their concern that mobile devices would not provide the power the Rift needs, and would provide a sub-par experience he had some positive statements to give on its future with Android products.
Small World 2 from developer Days of Wonder has received a substantial update that adds in many new features to the game. For those not in the Small World loop, Small World 2 is the sequel to Small World, which is a tablet version of the popular tabletop game of the same name. Players must conquer areas of the board by using their fantasy race and the power combos that come with it.
HalfBrick has decided to break into the world of sim games with the release of a new title called Band Stars onto Android finally. This particular game puts players in control of starting a band and working your way from a little garage band to superstars in the music industry. At least that is what the goal is. Whether you make it there or not is up to how good you are.
Stellar Ghosts is a new third-person shooter that is now available for high-end Android devices
Developer Protofactor has released Stellar Ghosts, a third person shooter, onto Google Play. It was released earlier this year on Ouya before now making its way to Android devices now.
AT&T has started up a new promotion which could help fuel your Android gaming addiction if you’re on AT&T or planning on switching to them. Right now the company is offering up $50 in Google Play credit for any customers who purchase a new Android phone or tablet.

Madfinger Games are still celebrating their 4th birthday by doing something special for everyone each day this week. Today’s little special event is the release of an update and a decrease in price for Shadowgun. The update also relabels this game from regular old Shadowgun to Shadowgun Anniversary Edition.
Back in April of this year we reported on Terry Cavanagh’s challenging retro-style platformer called VVVVVV and the fact it would be landing on Android soon. Well for those of you who have been waiting for this game to be released, it is now available on Google Play. However this isn’t the only game from Mr. Cavanagh as Super Gravitron has also made an appearance as well.
Up, Down, Left, Right is an endless puzzle rhythm game. The conceit of the game is somewhat difficult to explain but I’ll try anyways. Players are tasked with pressing up, down, left, and right in order to the beat that is being played.
