All you XOOM owners have been looking forward to this day, probably since you got your tablets. Well the wait is now over and you’ll be able to enjoy Flash on your snazzy dual-core XOOM tablets and play flash games online or through the Kongregate Arcade App which now supports Honeycomb as well! There are other features as well though.
As it gets closer to the launch of the Xperia Play Android gaming phone we are seeing more developers making their games compatible with the slide out control pad that the Xperia Play features. This is mostly due to the button mapping being included in the Android SDK. Polarbit has now jumped into the Xperia Play action.
Clones are nothing new to the Android Market but once in awhile there comes a time where something is so blatantly ripped off that it need to be brought to light along with the topic of clones. Doodle Fit by Gamelion is a prime example of this with the clone, Fix It, being almost a complete rip-off of Doodle Fit.
Earlier this year during CES 2011 we got to get a little up close and personal with the upcoming Toshiba dual-core Android tablet. This was also one of our top choices back then for Tegra 2 Android tablets and it still is to this day. Between the look, the nice back grip and just overall hardware, it is definitely a solid tablet.
“Earth and Legend” is going to be another hit Android game from the fine developer DVide Arts. One of their first games was the highly popular Crusade Of Destiny, and just judging the game thus far by looks alone, along with some rumors we have heard, this game isn’t just a graphical upgrade over the first game, its much more.
Guerrilla Bob is a top-down 3D shoot-em-up game that spans across multiple platforms and offers up some great co-op multiplayer gaming action. We saw this at GDC 2011 on the Xperia Play demo units and fiddle around with it and it really is a fun game. Now it is officially out on the Android Market for you to grab.
Yes, even after a week of posting since GDC 2011 ended, we still have news we are posting although we are nearing the end of everything we need to post from GDC. There are a few Tegra 2 games on the horizon that haven’t really been mentioned yet that we spotted lazing around on some demo devices.
Kongregate’s Arcade application that allows you to play over 400+ flash games from the mega gaming site on your Android device has just updated their app to include support for Honeycomb. This means that you XOOM owners will be able to play all those flash games on your nice 10.1″ screens once you receive you Flash update.
It is time to bring the joins of check-ins and badges to earn to Android games just like it is when you check-in with Foursquare or any other number of services that are similar. This time around though, thanks to HeyZap, you don’t actually have to go anywhere to check-in and earn badges, you just need to play Android games.
