Unigine is a 3D game engine that, up until recently, was strictly for Windows/Linux/PS3. Now it supports Android game development with future mobile platforms to be supported in the future. It is nice to see a game engine jump onto Android first when regarding mobile game development, then other platforms later.

Qualcomm was showing off what can be done on the Scorpion processor by getting Southern Interactive, a game development studio from Sweden, to show of Desert Winds on Android.

Monster Madness has been one of the games we’ve really been waiting for to be released onto the Android Market. Finally the wait is over and all you lucky people with a Tegra 2 device already are going to be happy. Monster Madness, made with Unreal Engine 3, is a top-down shooter where you will be blasting away at a variety of monsters.
There really isn’t too many ways to make the game of Chess easy on the eyes and more enjoyable to play but Polarbit seems to have found a promising solution in their new game called Chess – Battle of the Elements. Partnering with Pinyl Studio, Polarbit brings the game of Chess with an elemental twist and a 1000 puzzles.
GDC 2011 is only a few days away and as it gets closer, the rumors are starting to fly. One such rumor is that iOS developer Firemint is planning to unveil their Real Racing 2 game ported over to Android. Real Racing 2 has won multiple awards since its release onto the App Store and Firemint is now looking to unleash it onto Android as well.
One game we were lucky enough to get a hands-on with during CES 2011 was Vendetta Online which looks absolutely amazing. Vendetta Online for Android is a port of the very popular space action-MMORPG game of the same name. We are still lucky to be one of the few to ever see this game in action on a tablet in person.
Another game, or series of games actually, that we got to check out and get some hands-on time with back at CES 2011 was Hardwood Solitaire IV by Silver Creek Entertainment. This game is actually a set of 10 different solitaire games to play but unlike most solitaire games for any system, visually this game was stunning.
Since Geometry Wars on the Xbox originally shipped with copies of a popular racing game, we’ve been wanting to take it mobile for years. For many, that wait is finally over and PewPew, available for free and without ads to satisfy that GW addiction. You really can’t beat awesome retro-style games sometimes.
Well as you may or may not have realized by now, the Motorola XOOM is now available for purchase. While you have to drop some heavy cash to get one, especially off contract for $799 and even on contract at $599, the fine folks over at XDA have discovered a way to save yourself $200 off the no contract pricing!
