Red Barton and The Sky Pirates is an upcoming 3rd person shooter that hearkens back to the days of OutRun, and AfterBurner, with a story mode a la Star Fox (the N64 classic). The player takes on the role of Red Barton, a pilot of a WWI era fighter airplane fighting his way through waves of enemies, on a mission to save his love and restore his honor.

Staffed by some fairly heavy hitters from the video games industry, including former Machinima VP of content strategy Matthew Cohen as CEO, the app’s goal is to “help solve the discovery and community problem in today’s fragmented mobile games market”.
Sword Art Online has finally made its way from Japan to the US, much to the delight of fans across the country. Fans of the anime series will be happy to learn that the game features the original anime plot as well as a brand new storyline just for the game, and many fan-favorite characters make appearances.
Fans of The Banner Saga have a new installment to look forward to, albeit later on down the road in the future. The Banner Saga 3, which will be the final installment into the series, has launched its Kickstarter campaign and already has over $28K in funding.
Fast Forward Studios and My.com bring us one of the newest MOBA games on Android, Planet of Heroes. Featuring 3v3 battles, a single player campaign, and ten heroes, it aims to make a dent in the genre on the play store. The app is still unreleased, but you can download it today and help shape the experience.
The Pokemon Company has released another official Pokemon game onto Android today called Pokemon Duel. This particular title is more of a strategy board game where players will be able to craft their own deck of Pokemon characters before jumping into a match with other players to see who comes out on top.
