Back in November of last year we reported on the Kickstater for a game called Fist of Awesome hit up Kickstarter for funding which it eventually got successfully. Since then we’ve watched this game get developed and now it is finally time to enjoy punching random hostile animals in the face as Fist of Awesome is now available on Google Play as well as for Ouya and GameStick.
For those of you not familiar with this game, Fist of Awesome has you playing as Tim Burr who is a forest dwelling kind of guy who happens to run into some pretty bad luck. His house spontaneously bursts into flames and his family disappears. It is at this point that Tim’s hand becomes self-aware and basically tell him that the bears actually rule the world, commanding the forest creatures as well.
This game is all about beating the crap out of pretty much every animal that comes your way. Don’t feel bad doing it either because if you don’t, you’ll end up with your own ass being whooped on by the animals. Controls consist of swipes and taps so there are no buttons on the screen getting in the way of your view of all the retro style graphics and violence.
If you’ve been waiting for this game to come out, you can now pick up Fist of Awesome off of Google Play for $3.99. The game is also available for Ouya owners as well as GameStick owners.
