Razer’s Forge TV makes an appearance on Google’s Store, available for $149 with controller

If appears that Razer is looking to bolster the sales of their Android set-top box / micro-console called the Forge TV as it has now appeared on Google’s Store for devices. We got to go hands-on with this set-top box back during GDC this year and with the short amount of time we had with it, it was a decent little box to play with.

However, the hardware specs were a bit normal which seems to possibly stopped some people from buying it. According to recent reports, the Razer Forge TV hasn’t done the greatest in terms of sale numbers. It is definitely enjoyable to use when paired up with the Turret lapboard and mouse pad combo though.

In terms of hardware/software specs, here’s what the Razor Forge TV comes with:

– 2GB LPDDR3 and 16GB storage
– Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, Quad-core Krait 450 CPU (2.5GHz per core)
– Adreno 420 Graphics
– Android 5.0
– Google Cast, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 +HS, Gigabit Ethernet
– HDMI Port, USB 3.0

This does come with one Razer ServalĀ  game controller as well. If you want an additional controller, that is also available on Google’s device store for $79.99. The box itself does sell for $99 elsewhere without a controller, so the bundle does save you some money.
