Rockstar Games unveils the release date for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Back in October of this year we reported on Rockstar Games officially announcing that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City would be heading to Android before the end of this year. This release is in celebration of GTA: Vice City’s 10th anniversary which happens this year and now Rockstar Games have officially announced when this mobile version of the game would be arriving on Android.

So when will be get this new version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City? Well you won’t have to wait very long as it is slated for release on December 6th, 2012 and when it does get released, it will only cost you a mere $4.99 to have Vice City on your Android phone or tablet. In a similar fashion to the Grand Theft Auto III release, there is a select list of Android devices that will be initially supported while devices not on that list will eventually get supported in an update not too long after the game’s initial release.

Nexus owners have some good news as all the new Nexus devices that Google just released will be supported. That means if you own a Nexus 4, Nexus 7 or a Nexus 10, you’ll be able to get Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. We can expect native high-resolution graphics, several enhancements unique to Android and iOS including updated character models and lighting effects, new and more precise firing and targeting options, and a fully customizable control layout.
