Bob Games is based in Armenia, Columbia, and they make highly-imaginative games. Their latest project is a runner/platforming game that has a character that everyone has come in contact with at some point or another… their Postman. They have taken an extremely important job, and set it in a game world fraught with action, peril and adventure. Run Postman Run is the next game from Bob Games, and it looks like it will be a fun and colorful adventure starring your postman.
I have always been a fan of running/platform type games. I know there are numerous games out there, and they only vary slightly in style and game play in most cases. However, there is nothing quite like clearing a level, if the game is good enough, and challenging enough. Especially if the tasks vary that you must complete before you reach the end of the level. Set within a Steampunk environment, the main character has to deliver mail and avoid obstacles, dogs and other unusual elements. Here is the premise behind the game.
“Run and jump in a complex steampunk city to deliver letters while surviving hordes of vicious dogs using non-lethal weaponry and awesome abilities. The objective of the game is simple: reach the end of the level without dying. But if you want to access more routes you may have to return to complete some challenges like deliver all letters in the route or find the exit before a given time. Do you consider yourself a fine player? Try to complete all the challenges, we assure you it is not an easy task.” – Bob Games
When we last spoke with the game developer, Run Postman Run was about a month or so away from being released. The game is expected to released on Android/iOS. We haven’t heard much lately, but hopefully we won’t have to wait long. The world that Bob Games has created in Run Postman Run looks quite fascinating. Bob Games also hopes the game will be greenlit by the Steam Community.
