Trophy Hunter has rolled out a major update titled Duels for Friends. True to the name, it puts all the spotlight on playing, or rather hunting, with friends. Players can now send invites through a special link shared via SMS or messenger, letting newcomers or existing fans jump into the action together.
What’s in store?
The Duels for Friends feature introduces hot-seat duels to Trophy Hunter. They are asynchronous one-on-one matches where you can prove your shooting skills and earn extra rewards. The game had its global launch on July 3rd, so the new features is a major addition to it.
League-based play already encouraged engagement in Trophy Hunter. But now, you have tools to build your own in-game circles, invite friends, and challenge them directly. Clubs benefit as well, since invited players can either join existing ones or set up entirely new clubs with their friends.
How does it work?
The duels also add a new format to Trophy Hunter’s competitive structure. Each duel consists of three rounds and runs on an asynchronous system. So, players take turns at their convenience within a set time limit.
A challenger selects an opponent from their friends list, chooses an arena both have unlocked, and starts the first round. From there, turns alternate with in-game notifications ensuring no one forgets.
Before starting their next shot, players can even watch replays of their opponent’s moves. After three rounds, the winner claims rewards, while the loser can instantly demand a rematch.
The first duel of the day against a specific friend grants an extra reward, but there’s no limit on how many duels you can play. To stack up rewards, you need to challenge as many friends as possible and win consistently.
Meanwhile, Trophy Hunter has also added new arenas. Apart from the nine arenas that were available since launch, there are two more now.
Northern Lights is one of them. It immerses players in the challenge of long-range shots against the backdrop of the aurora borealis. The eleventh arena is Scottish Highlands, which has its own distinct terrain and tactical demands.
