You may remember a few weeks ago that Gameloft sent out a press release detailing some upcoming games, one of which happened to be Modern Combat 4, a slip from the folks at Gameloft as the press release was eventually changed to not include that title, although we have the original press release in our article. Well it seems as though Gameloft is having a hard time keeping the lid on this game as a new trailer and images have leaked out about the next Modern Combat game.
In the actual market, creativity and innovation are two words that usually make up as a good start when creating a game, being it extremely important in an era where lots of game genres are already taken by successful and un-aging hits. It’s the case of the Continuous Running (or Infinite Running for literal purposes) genre, where hits like Temple Run or Agent Dash have actually bumped up the users expectations on new releases. Well, it seems like Kiloo Games have joined hands with Sybo Games in making their own name now with the release of Subway Surfers, that has finally comes to Android after being on iOS for quite some time.
Android, like most things in life, has its fair share of ups and downs. Being an ‘open’ platform, there is a lot that can be done with an Android phone or tablet right out of the box. The same cannot be said of iOS and Windows Phone devices, which are ‘closed’ for the most part, and therefore the user’s ability to customize and what-not is severely limited.
One of the more anticipated racing games heading our way right now happens to be coming from Electronic Arts, who will be publishing the game when it’s ready. Developed by Firemonkeys, which is the new development studio under EA that was formed when Firemint and Iron Monkeys joined forces, Real Racing 3 looks to be quite the impressive racing game.
About a month or so ago we reported on a new movie-based game being released called Total Recall – Episode 1, which was based in the original movie we all know and not the new version. Well just like we’ve predicted from it’s name, an Episode 2 has come our way and rather quickly. ConcoursMania Montpellier has just released the second episode for their Total Recall game and while sticking to the original, this one goes through a different set of parts from the movie.
As with all things technology based, we tend to see sizes get smaller and smaller as technology advances. This holds true for cellphones that, at one point, were bigger than a brick but are now nice little smartphones that fit in our pocket. Even the upcoming Android powered OUYA game console is the size of a Rubik’s Cube. Now game controllers are going that way as well, at least when it comes to mobile gaming. Let’s meet the iMpulse Controller, a game controller that is the size of a keyring.
From the hands of Gameloft we’re getting a new racing simulator, and this time they decided to put on a name from one of their two franchises. GT Racing: Hyundai Edition brings back the original racing game from when they released GT Racing: Motor Academy as well as the free version, GT Racing: Motor Academy Free+. This time, however, it has Hyundai written all over it.
You are a Velocispider, a half spider and half velociraptor type of creature who has some rather delicious endangered eggs to protect, or at least the CEO of the Robot Seafood Corporation believes they are delicious. Now it is up to you to protect your eggs in this new retro style arcade shooter from Noodlecake Studios.
You may know FeelingTouch Inc as one of those game studios who tend to lean towards the free-to-play business model. Well their latest addition to their catalog doesn’t stray from this business model and neither does it in gameplay for fans of static FPS games. Zombie Frontier brings the always welcomed T-Virus infection to your neighborhood, and promises some more action for your thumbs.
A couple of weeks ago we brought you news about Ubisoft who have a few games heading our way over the next few weeks. One of those games have already been released, Prince of Persia Classic, while another one which was slated for release today is called Rayman Jungle Run. Unfortunately this new Rayman game has been delayed for about a week, with a new release date of September 27th.
