The Unity Engine is everywhere! Powering a surprising number of titles across a wide breadth of genres and platforms, chances are that if you play video games, you’ve experienced a title that is built with Unity. Marvel Comics announced at this year’s SD Comic Con (in an interview with Marvel.com) that they’re going to be releasing an upcoming game called Contest of Champions. The actual game development is being done by Kabam, who have released other games like The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth, Fast & Furious 6: The Game, Castle Age HD, and more.
This is probably the fastest we’ve seen a device going from announcement to launch, at least when it comes to Nvidia. They are definitely not wasting any time with getting their new Shield Tablet into the hands of Android gamers and today customers in Canada and the US are having their units shipped out.

The team at VooFoo Studios with the help of Ripstone Games their publisher were kind enough to give Droid Gamers an exclusive interview. They are releasing a new environment for their game Pure Chess that will coincide with the availability of the new Nvidia Shield Tablet tomorrow.
Just a little over a year ago we reported on an official Firefly game that would be heading to Android soon called Firefly Online which was slated for release this Summer. As you can tell from the game’s name, this will be an online multiplayer title but it isn’t necessarily an MMORPG in the traditional sense of running around, completing quests, leveling up and collecting gear.
The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land is an upcoming mobile game for Android that will be released alongside the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead Season 5. Set in the TV continuity of The Walking Dead, as opposed to TellTale’s game which takes place in the comic book universe, there wasn’t really much revealed in the cinematic trailer for the game other than that there will be zombies. Go figure.
Two days before its intended launch, Modern Combat 5 was leaked to gamers everywhere via torrent. Gameloft is understandably livid. In a perhaps futile effort to stem the tide of users illegally acquiring the game because of the lack of an official launch, Gameloft rushed to push the game’s release ahead by one day.
I’m sure some of you may be puzzled by this… I was. Batman: Arkham Origins showed up in the Play Store a few weeks ago. However, it said that it wasn’t compatible with my devices. I was kind of bummed out by this because I finally have devices that can run it graphically. So, like I do with most games that I want to play that may be in a soft launch or have exclusivity with a particular device, I added it to my wish list.
The Android rendition of Injustice: Gods Among US received a large (in scale) update adding online multiplayer among other enhancements. The addition of multiplayer on its own makes this game a lot better in some ways, giving it much more replay value.

Once a fan favorite before development seemed to stop altogether, Trendy Entertainment’s Dungeon Defenders was a great game to play on Android. Now it seems that life is finally being breathed back into the franchise for Android devices with the launch of Dungeon Defenders Eternity.
