Back in November we talked about an unnamed FPS game that made an appearance in the financial earning for Ngmoco / DeNA as an upcoming game for Android and iOS. Well now Ngmoco has let the word out that this FPS game is called The Drowning and that it is coming with some pretty high-end graphics for mobile gamers.
Been wondering where the hell Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is for Android? Well it actually showed up on the Google Play store but was unfortunately pulled off of the store shortly thereafter due to one giant issue that was preventing people from actually playing the game. ResidualVM is another emulator that is a cross-platform 3D interpreter which allows you to play LucasArts’ Lua-based 3D adventures games and has had a team working on it for awhile now. As with all things relating to emulators, the inevitable question arises about an Android version. Well it seems some users over on the ResidualVM forums have taken it upon themselves to unofficially port the emulator over in the hopes that the ResidualVM team picks it up and makes an official version from it. Promised awhile ago by Sony for Xperia Play owners, Devil May Cry 4 Refrain has arrived on Android thanks to the efforts of G-Gee. However, as of right now it is only available for residents in Japan through G-Gee’s market right now but there is a way for you to get a copy of it anyways should you not want to wait for the official worldwide release, if there will even be one.
We have had a few half-decent ports or creations of the popular Light Cycle racing game featured in the Tron movies here on Android, but now we’ve got a proper, full-fledged game made for Android that is developed by Rude Boy Games and published by Ayoga Games. Released just over a week ago, LightSpeeder features the same bright neon colors that are so prominent in Tron together with some neat 8-bit graphics.
A new turn-based multiplayer combat game, similar in style to games like Worms, will be making its way to Android in early 2013. Officially named TurtleStrike, this game has players create three different formations using a total of 10 turtles each. From there players will then use their turns by doing one of the three actions each turtle can do: Move, Shoot a Missile or Shoot a Torpedo. You also have special moves like Shield and “Use Secret Special Weapon”.
