For those of you whom have missed out on the Amazon Memorial Day giveaway (ends today), here is your chance to still receive a great deal. The Play Store and Amazon App Store are currently rife with titles on sale. With so many games to choose from, there is a bit of something for everyone.
Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta is now available on the Google Play store. An episodic game, with only episode 1 being released thus far, Unearthed is about a “fortune hunter” and his adventure in the middle east. The game is a third person action game with shooting and hand to hand combat, along with platforming and driving.
Watch Dogs is getting a companion App that will allow players to interact with the upcoming title. This news keeps up with the current trend where a lot of major game releases that are coming up for other platforms are getting companion apps that players can use and interact with while playing the matching game.
Frima Studios games are nothing if they aren’t unique. Even from each other, each game released by them so far has been completely different from their previously released games. Nun Attack: Origins is no different.
A new action-platformer game entitled Lynn and the Spirits of Inao was recently announced and is on its way to hit both Android and iOS platforms. Produced by indie developer Bloomylight Studio, Lynn and the Spirits of the Inao boasts a colorful and vibrant artistic rendition said to be influenced by Japanese artists Hayao Miyazaki and Shigeru Miyamoto (works include Spirited Away and Legend of Zelda, respectively).
Glu Mobile’s wildly popular high fantasy ARPG, Eternity Warriors 3, has been updated with an all new PvP mode. Players will now have the ability to crush their enemies and see them driven before them as they square off in arena based combat in order to earn points, seasonal awards and an ever coveted position atop the new worldwide leaderboards, once and for all proving what is best in life.
Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla remake tore its way through the competition this weekend, earning an impressive $93 million at the domestic box office and an additional $100 million overseas. Now, the King of the Kaiju has smashed his way onto Android devices in two new video games.
Normally when we report on bundles, they are of the “humble” variety. iKOiD’s latest bundle might not go to charity, but it does offer five strategy and puzzle games for $2.99 while passing on more of its profits to game developers than your average App store.
Rockstar Games has released the entire Grand Theft Auto trilogy that is currently available on Android already but this is over on Amazon’s Marketplace. This release of all three games is for both the Kindle Fire as well as Amazon’s new set-top box, Fire TV. The MMORPG space is fairly crowded on Android. While there are certainly more than a few attempts that appear to be shoddy, quick cash grabs on the Google Play marketplace, there are also a go0d number of high quality 3D MMORPGs available on Android. Most of them attempt to simply shoehorn PC MMORPGs into a the mobile experience. NGames looks to be attempting something different with XenoQuest.
