Today Disney has confirmed a huge list of mobile games the company is retiring. Before everyone gets worried though, this doesn’t necessarily mean that they are going to be pulled for Google Play (or other markets for that matter) and won’t be downloadable. What this does mean is that development won’t be continuing for these particular titles. This means no future updates or support for the retired games.

Android Game Sale Round-Up: Dragon Quest VI, Final Fantasy Dimensions, Limbo, Sproggiwood and more
It’s the end of another week and while we have a lot of work ahead of us here to get ready for launching more new features over the next few days, including our new site design, there is always time for a round-up of Android games on sale.
Set to take place in the afterlife, Afterland is a game about a band of “misfits” that have lost their souls. This group of castoffs will travel about as a carnival that performs magic, in order to regain the souls that they’ve lost. An interesting facet of the game’s backstory is a play on how or why each character came to be a misfit.
True to the answer Jobs Stauffer gave on Twitter during his impromptu Q&A session the other day, where he stated that a new trailer for Minecraft: Story Mode would be arriving this week, this new trailer has finally arrived. The trailer shows off a bit more of the story, as well as the heroes, which will be coming in the first episode called Order of the Stone.
Released by Curve Digital and developed by Peter Moorehead, Murder is a new point and click adventure game that is coming soon. The game will be set in a near-future Tokyo with a cyberpunk influence and pixel art visuals.
A couple of weeks ago we reported on inkle’s very popular game 80 Days and the fact it would be getting a pretty big content update soon. The update was slated for release on October 1st, however it has arrived early and is now available for download today instead.
Currently slated for release onto iOS this week, SirVival is a new game from 1DER Entertainment that will also be landing on Android a few weeks after the iOS launch happens. SirVival is a side-scrolling action adventure game featuring a knight called SirVival who is riding his steed Tantrum as he attempts to save a princess.
Soon to be released by mi-clos studio (known for creating the Out There franchise), Sigma theory will be a futuristic spin on the Cold War. Players will assume the role of one who is the head of your nation’s intelligence agency, which is tasked with using a new breakthrough technology to dominate the globe.
Telltale tweets a slew of announcements regarding upcoming games, sequels and more, dubbing October as an epic month
Telltale has made some announcements on their Twitter regarding some of their current games in a sort of impromptu Q&A session on Twitter. Let’s begin with the endings. Telltale announced that the finale for both Tales from the Borderlands will likely arrive next month, and the finale for their Game of Thrones franchise will follow shortly thereafter.
Tolkien’s Middle-earth saga may be the high point of fantasy in the worlds of literature and film, but in video games, that crown belongs solely to the Legend of Zelda. Sure, Warcraft has an indelible legacy and Skyrim took the Elder Scrolls series to a new level of popularity, but no fantasy game has been as oft imitated or is as beloved as The Legend of Zelda.
