Xbox One and the Playstation 4 are both pushing the second-screen experience with plenty of their major titles. For those of you not familiar with what the second-screen experience is, basically this offers up the ability to access exclusive content, manipulate in-game features and other goodies when your phone or tablet connects to one of these consoles.
Ubisoft’s companion app for their Watch Dogs game has essentially been turned into a game itself. Technically this is more of a game than an app although it really is a bit of both. Regardless of what exactly this application now is, Watch Dogs Live has undergone a soft launch in Canada to do some final testing before it launches worldwide. When that happens, if you’re at the top of the leaderboard when the game end, you’ll win a car.
TwitchTV’s application on Google Play will soon be getting an update that will allow you to follow your favorite streamers that you like to watch. Back in April Amazon announced that it had some pretty big plans for expanding their AppStore to more countries, 200 or so of them actually. Well it looks like those plans have finally come to life with the AppStore’s new update to version 5.0. This expansion doesn’t just means you can look at the AppStore in awe and wonder but actually take advantage of all the features it comes with.
A source port of the Return to Castle Wolfenstein engine called RTCW4A has landed on Google Play and somehow slid under the radar for over a month without being seen. Originally released back in April of this year, RTCW4A brings the Return to Castle Wolfenstein engine to Android so you can play the game on your Android device.
Over the weekend the new Google Play APK was ripped apart by the folks over at Android Police and inside the APK’s gooey innards were source files for the alleged Google Play Games service we have been talking about on and off for over two years. It looks like Google I/O 2013 will more than likely have an announcement announcing the official Google game center type of service we’ve all been wishing for.
