Nintendo recently revealed what franchises their next two mobile games would be from, that being Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing. Today the company revealed what sort of business model these games would have, and while Nintendo did say all of their games would be free-to-play more than likely back when they initially revealed they would be making mobile games, it seems then are going to be trying a slightly different approach with these two upcoming games.

Disney launched their multi-platform ‘world’ full of games and things players can do, including creating pretty much whatever they want in that world, about 2 years ago. It’s a lot like Skylanders in the way of using physical toys (characters) that can be scanned into the game world and used by the player that scanned them in.
Minority Media today has announced that their upcoming Virtual Reality game called Time Machine will finally be launching this month for both major VR headsets, the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. The narrative for this game was written by the Assassin’s Creed III and IV writer Jill Murray.
Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ breaks 2 million download in North America, celebrated with a limited-time in-game event
Square Enix and Disney’s release of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ onto mobile has apparently done quite well for itself since its recent launch, amassing over 2 million downloads in North America alone. This number may not seem like a lot in the grand scheme of things until you realize that this was done in under a month’s time. Like any milestone breaking, Square Enix and Disney are going to host an in-game event for a limited time.
Released by Frillapps, The Door is a very simple game that focuses on mystery and the unknown. The premise is one that begins in darkness, with the sound of a baby cooing, followed by a door closing. There’s no back story to speak of. Players will then see a door appear on the screen, which rests there and responds to the player’s tapping.
Rockstar Games, the outfit behind Grand Theft Auto, among other popular franchises, has a good amount of those games released onto Android. They have put most of them on sale, namely the Grand Theft Auto series, as well as the Android version of Max Payne. With the former, players get to assume the role of an outlaw, spreading mayhem all over their city like a proper criminal should.

Set to release May 10th, Who Lurks is an upcoming game that focuses on deception and survival in a multiplayer setting. The game does include missions for players to enjoy alone, and completing them does unlock other content within the game, the crux of it is when you have a group of friends, as the game accommodates three to six players at a time.
While Snail Games just recently released the sequel to Taichi Panda, called Taichi Panda Heroes, that hasn’t stopped the company from pushing out content updates for the original game. Taichi Panda’s newest content update, called Divinity, has arrived and brings with it some much requested content features.

Announced by Pokémon Company International, there is now an open beta for Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, though it’s only officially available for Android tablets at the moment. Originally released for browsers in the Spring of 2011, this trading card game is now being officially ported over to Android.
11-bit Studio’s This War Of Mine’s upcoming physical board game version now has its Kickstarter campaign live
Usually we see board games getting a digital version released onto mobile devices (and other platforms). However, on the flip side of things, 11-bit studio’s This War Of Mine game will be getting a physical board game version made. What’s even more interesting is the fact that 11-bit Studio promises that it’ll be just as intense as the video game. While news of the board game being made has been known for a little bit now, just to make everything official, the Kickstarter campaign for it has launched this morning.
