While we mostly stick to gaming on this site, we do also cover Android apps as well. This is, of course, as long as they are gaming related in some fashion, whether it be a companion app, guides, or in this case, an application meant for improving performance of your Android device. You can only game as good as your device is and that doesn’t just include hardware specs.

Just two weeks after having released a massive update to the venerable mobile hit, Fruit Ninja, Halfbrick Studios is at it again with yet another surprise up its sleeve: a Ghostbusters crossover! Right on time for Halloween and the Ghostbusters 30th anniversary celebration, Halfbrick has launched a themed update that adds all new weapons, animations and locations based on the beloved cinematic franchise.
OrangePixel’s sequel to their original Meganoid game has made the jump from Google Play to the Ouya console today. Meganoid 2 is the company’s rather challenging platformer that has been out on Android for a bit now and can finally be played natively on the Ouya console.
A new puzzler has arrived onto Google Play called Space Kitty from Sly Lamb. While this game has nothing to do with the Nyan Cat, that is completely okay because it is actually quite a fun game to play. Players will take on the role of Captain Kitty who is out to save a bunch of scared aliens from a space station that was destroyed, trapping them in there.
One of the major players in the hard rock music scene, and have been for awhile now, Avenged Sevenfold have decided to release an action RPG onto mobile. This interesting game is called Hail to the King: Deathbat and surprisingly looks quite good visually. Usually when this sort of thing happens, it is more of a 2D experience but not with this game.
Having already released a more modern racing game, aptly named Cargasm HD, Candella Systems LTD has decided to release another racing game but this time set in a more Roman type of theme called Chariot Wars. This game does feature both single-player and multiplayer game modes to race in.
Thumbstar Games has released a new Halloween themed game onto Google Play called Smash It! which brings a little Halloween fun to your Android device before you or your kids are outside trying to get as much candy as you can soon. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help rescue a witch’s beloved cat from monsters called the Blarghinis.
Virtual Reality is certainly becoming a pretty interesting sector of the video gaming industry to watch. There are plenty of companies doing the whole Virtual Reality thing with headsets of their own. This really stems from the Oculus Rift doing so well before being sold to Facebook. Archos is planning on getting into the Virtual Reality scene with a headset as well which will be available this November.
House of Fire, the original developers of the first The Silent Age game, has released the final part of the series today for Android devices. The Silent Age Episode Two picks up right where the first episode left off, taking players on an adventure “into a dystopian future where mankind has gone extinct”. Sounds like fun doesn’t it.
If you are not yet sold on getting an Nvidia Shield Tablet for your Android gaming needs, this morning Nvidia began teasing on Twitter that there are a bunch of new features coming to their tablet, the biggest one being Android 5.0 Lollipop.
