Google has begun their own version of celebrating the holiday season and although it isn’t a crazy sale like when the Google Play store passed 10 billion downloads or anything like that, what Google is doing is still pretty cool. Starting today, Google is giving away holiday surprises through the Google Play store and it isn’t just something like free apps or games.

Madfinger Games have pushed out their Christmas update which we talked about last week for Dead Trigger. With this update comes a new boss called Zanta who is in the holiday spirit and regardless if you have been naughty or nice, he wants to kill you and eat your brains. However, Zanta isn’t the only thing coming with this update.
While a lot of the fans of Spacetime Studios titles are currently working their way through the latest MMO to come from Spacetime Studios, called Arcane Legends, the company is still hard at work bringing content to all of their other MMO titles. Their first release was Pocket Legends, a fantasy-themed MMORPG that has over 8 million downloads, and has gotten a rather large content update which comes with two new playable classes: the Rhino Paladin and the Vixen Ranger.
Just like they did with Halloween this year, DeNA / Mobage are celebrating this holiday season with a variety of in-game events and special promotions to help put you in the mood. While these special events and promotions are not happening in every single one of their games, the ones that are holding the events are some of their most popular titles.
Rovio is getting in on the holiday action this season by putting up all the HD versions of all their games on sale for $0.99. If you own the free versions of any of their games and happen to want to get rid of the ads, while getting a little bit of a boost in the visual department, then now is a good time to take advantage of the sale.
A couple of weeks ago we talked about a rather unique looking Final Fantasy game that would be coming to Android but instead of Square Enix publishing it, they teamed up with DeNA instead who then published it on their Mobage social gaming platform. The game we are talking about is Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade and you will either love it or hate it.
Fans of Anomaly: Warzone Earth have some good news today as 11 Bit Studios has confirmed the sequel to their tower offense game will be arriving on Android some time between now and Christmas. That means Anomaly Korea will land on Google Play at some point over the next 11 days. We’ve had the privilege of having been playing an early preview build of Anolomay Korea over the past couple of weeks and we can say you won’t be disappointed.
A couple of weeks ago we talked about a new Kairosoft game that hit the Japanese Google Play store called Kingdom Pyramid Excavation. True to Kairosoft’s rather swift turnaround time when it comes to bringing their games to international waters, Kingdom Pyramid Excavation is now available for everyone but it is under a new name for its international release, The Pyraplex.
Right now the only option when it comes to the Avengers Initiative game from Marvel is to play as a giant raging green mass called Hulk. However, that will be changing with the new Episode 2 for Avengers Initiative which brings Captain America into the mix, someone who is a bit more tactful and level headed then Hulk.
Last week Zeptolab, the developers of Cut The Rope, let the cat out of the bag about their next title which will also be a puzzle game called Pudding Monsters. When the announcement was made, we had a little teaser trailer which didn’t show us any of the gameplay that would come with the game. Now we get to see a little bit of it.
