Capcom has always had a love/hate relationship for mobile games. On one hand, they love releasing mobile games on iOS, but for some reason it seems they hate to do the same for Android. It seems Capcom is finally giving Android a real chance, as the first 6 games from the Blue Bomber’s 8-bit era are coming to Android in January of 2017. Near the end of November, Dreamotion Inc. soft-launched the stylish arcade shooter Gun Strider, and it has become one of my daily addictions. There is something extremely satisfying watching Ivan, the gun strider, bend, twist, and spin around to shoot enemies in this kill-or-be-killed game.
Released by Vblank Etnertainment Inc, Retro City Rampage DX is a brawler that’s recently been released on to Android. In this game, players will assume the role of a thug who’s looking for work, and referred to as “The Player”. Developer Esayitch released his throwback platformer this week, “Tower of the Wizard”. It’s an easy-playing homage to the Nintendo Gameboy side-scrollers of the early 90’s. The game is done in an 8-bit style which we’ve all become very accustomed to seeing on the play store lately.

The highly popular Stickman Base Jumper is gearing up for it’s much-anticipated sequel. The original was released over four years ago and has been downloaded over 20 million times. Noodlecake is synonymous with great mobile games, and they’ve proven it yet again with developer Mantisbite’s gorgeous new retro-futuristic sci fi game Island Delta. Noodlecake Games just surprised iOS gamers with a new action-puzzler called Island Delta, but thankfully they didn’t forget about us Android gamers. They’ve just tweeted a December 22nd, 2016 Android release date for Snowball!, their upcoming pinball game for mobile and PC.
Fans of Tetris might want to check out this game. Dubbed TwinTrix, it takes the idea of using shapes made of blocks to complete lines, but turns it into something a bit more competitive, as it’s designed with two players in mind and is formatted in a split screen fashion. The way it’s designed is that shapes of a wide variety are comprised of the colorful squares that we’re all familiar with.
