Dark Souls III is slated for release onto PC and console this month and fans of the franchise are chomping at the bit for it to arrive. I should know because I am one of them. However, Bandai Namco and GameStop have teamed up together to release a little Dark Souls III inspired promotional mobile game called Slashy Souls.

Released by Hugo A/S, Axe in the Face 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed Axe in the Face from 2011. Within this latest addition to the franchise, players will assume the reprised role of Redbeard, who is working to defend his flower garden from being ruined by other (more uncultured) vikings.
Released by Totebo Ltd, Miner Z is a new, casual endless game. In Miner Z, players assume the role of the eponymous ‘Miner’, who is one of the last survivors of the zombie apocalypse that has happened. In order to escape being consumed by the horde, players will use the miner’s propensity to dig in order to prolong the character’s existence.
The annual Game Developers Conference will be arriving this month like always, and we will be there like always as well. This year is already shaping up to be a pretty awesome one with some of the games we will be going hands-on with while running around like crazy. So here is an idea of what we will be checking out during GDC and, of course, if there’s anything you want us to scope out or have questions you want us to ask a specific developer, do let us know.
Help Ollie The Fox prepare the best party for his friends in Flipper Fox, now available on Google Play
Released by Torus Games, Flipper Fox is a platformer that’s just been released. In Flipper Fox, players will assume the role of Ollie, the games iconic fox. Ollie is interested in helping his friends throw the best party ever, so he’s taking it upon himself to find the best gifts and other party supplies. This means players will be looking for them throughout the game’s 180 levels.
While we haven’t done our Hidden Gem series in a bit, it doesn’t mean we don’t find any more hidden gems on Google Play. Quite the opposite actually and this is one of those games that could easily qualify as a hidden gem, even with how new it is. Meet Ignatius, a new puzzle platformer with a pretty interesting visual style and a storyline to match it.
The classic bubble shooter type of game gets kittenized in Kitty Pawp, now available on Google Play
Bubble Shooters are a staple of casual gaming, and have been around for a couple of decades, with its beginning as an arcade game in the mid nineties. Freeze Tag Games has released their own take on it, and have themed it out a bit. Enter, Kitty Pawp: Bubble Shooter.
Fans of the Pac-Man franchise have a new game to sink their time into today called Pac-Man Puzzle Tour. Unlike most other Pac-Man games though, this one doesn’t have you running around through a maze, eating dots and avoiding ghosts (and sometimes eating those ghosts as well).
PixelJam and Noodlecake teamed up back in November 2015 to bring Last Horizon over to Android. Since then it has done fairly well for itself. However today Last Horizon has received a new update that adds plenty of new content to the game, mainly thanks to the new game mode that has been added.
Fans of the late Futurama show have a new game to sink their free time into called Futurama: Game of Drones. This particular game is a match-4 puzzler with a storyline added to it that features the same style of humor you’ve probably enjoyed from the TV show. If this game sounds familiar, it is because we reported on its soft launch back in November 2015.
