Ubisoft has announced a new Virtual Reality game that will feature the Rabbids called Virtual Rabbids: The Big Plan. Slated for release on Google’s Daydream VR platform, Virtual Rabbids will have players posing as an agent for a classified government agency, and you will need to travel through different locations in order to hunt down a few irreverent Rabbids who have stolen and scrambled a top secret nuclear safety password.

When Google originally announced their Daydream View virtual reality headset, they also announced it would be available in 3 different colors: Snow, Crimson, and Slate. When the headset went up for pre-orders, only the Slate color was available. Starting today, the other two are also up for grabs, well, sort of.
Up until now there has only been two devices that are officially certified for use with Google’s Daydream View VR headset, those being the new Pixel and Pixel XL phones. Well there are two more phones that are now certified compatible with Google’s headset and they are the first ones outside of the Pixel line. The two devices are the Moto Z and Z Force.

Google made their in-house virtual reality headset, called the Daydream View, official back in the beginning of October 2016. This is part of the Daydream virtual reality platform that the company had been working on up to that point. During the originally announcement, it was revealed that the headset would be arriving in November 2016, but no specific date was given. Today, however, that has changed and we now know that the headset will be officially available on November 10th, 2016.
Google has always been hinting at brick-and-mortar stores in their future for at least a year now. While a true brick-and-mortar store by Google may be a bit of a wait from now, not including the Android stores that have opened, Google is opening a pop-up store in New York City this October 20th, 2016 to showcase their newest consumer devices.
Google really wants to make sure that their new Pixel line of phones is a success, along with the company’s newly announced Daydream View VR headset. In order to do that, Google is adding a promo code to each Pixel and Pixel XL pre-order that, when redeemed, will get you a Daydream View headset for free. However there is a slight problem, and that is most of the Pixel phones have been sold out via pre-order on the Google Store.
As part of Google’s special presentation today in San Francisco, the company announced their two new Pixel phones officially, the Pixel and Pixel XL. While these two new devices feature a lot of ‘firsts’ for Google, one of them happens to be regarding Google’s new Virtual Reality platform called Daydream. Both devices are the first official phones for Daydream to use with the headset Google has been developing. Today they also made the new headset official and it is called the Daydream View.
Google has been working on their upcoming Android-powered Virtual Reality platform Daydream since it was revealed earlier this year. Now the company has begun investing heavily in VR-related content in preparation for the launch of Daydream, which is planned for sometime in the coming weeks. All of this new content will apparently be exclusive to the Daydream platform.
Over the weekend there was some news about Google having shuttered their current standalone headset they were working on, but Google hasn’t stopped working on VR related products, such as Daydream. In fact the company is still working hard on Daydream as well as hardware related products for VR.
Epic has announced today that the newest version of their game development engine, Unreal Engine 4, now officially supports Google’s new Android-powered Virtual Reality platform Daydream. The support comes in the form of an official plugin which is actually now available for developers to grab and use to make Daydream games already.
