If you have been a PC gamer for a long period of time then you might remember way back in the day when Chess games started getting released for PC that featured animated pieces. These pieces would move and if there happen to be an opponents piece in their new spot, they would attack it. These attacks were fully animated as well. It looked pretty cool back then and we have had many iterations of the same idea since. Games Workshop will be bringing a similar concept to the Warhammer franchise soon.

Android gamers rejoice! Blizzard Entertainment has opened the portal to Azeroth to allow new warriors to join the fray. In a recent blog post on Battle Net, Blizzard has announced that the popular TCG, Heartstone: Heroes of Warcraft, is coming to Android tablets by the end of 2014. Android phones will be seeing Hearthstone arriving for them sometime in 2015.
Tomorrow Bulkypix will be releasing a new game called Felllice onto Android. Developed by Klickaffen, Felllice is a minimalistic art styled game where players will be treated to an interactive interpretation of a cell’s life as envisioned by its creators. Basically you will be playing as a cell that needs to grow and survive.
Rogue Wizards is an upcoming game is a promising looking upcoming game for Android that is currently up on Kickstarter looking for a little extra funding. Right now they have received about half of what their goal is, so just over $35,000 of the $70,000 they are hoping to get in funding. Today the developers have released a new video which showcases the crafting in the game which is done with Forgestone and Cauldron Systems.
[Updated] Fishlabs’ Galaxy On Fire : Alliances will finally be launching globally later this month
The next installment into the Galaxy on Fire franchise will finally be seeing the light of day globally as Fishlabs has announced that their MMO game Galaxy on Fire: Alliances will be launching worldwide later this month. This particular addition to the series isn’t like the previous Galaxy on Fire titles though.
EA has brought a new Sim City to Android in a title called Sim City BuildIt, currently now in a soft location-specific release. While this isn’t a full Sim City title in that it has every option and feature of its PC and console bethren, it does have a lot of gameplay available still including the actually city building elements, which is good since this is Sim City after all.
Team2Bit have announced their newest title that will be heading to Ouya soon called Reagan Gorbachev. This development studio has already released one game that did quite well called Fist Puncher and now this new game will be heading exclusively to Ouya this month.
Virtual Reality is certainly becoming a pretty interesting sector of the video gaming industry to watch. There are plenty of companies doing the whole Virtual Reality thing with headsets of their own. This really stems from the Oculus Rift doing so well before being sold to Facebook. Archos is planning on getting into the Virtual Reality scene with a headset as well which will be available this November.
If you are not yet sold on getting an Nvidia Shield Tablet for your Android gaming needs, this morning Nvidia began teasing on Twitter that there are a bunch of new features coming to their tablet, the biggest one being Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Amazon Games Studio doesn’t put out a lot of games but the ones that they do release are usually pretty good titles. Today they have announced three new titles they have been working on that will be arriving onto Android soon. Of course these games are exclusively for Amazon’s Android devices: the new Amazon Fire Phone and Amazon Fire Tablet.
