Everyone likes to try their hand at creating content for a game that they are playing and generally this only happens when you have a level generator or something similar available when the game is released. An upcoming roguelike game called #Dungeon that will let you generate levels for the game using Twitter as your level generating engine.

Rodeo Games is jumping into the Unreal Engine 4 scene with a new license for Epic Games’ next-gen game development engine. This company is already known for a few of their titles as well as their partnership with Games Workshop who owns the Warhammer IP and have released one game under that franchise already called Warhammer Quest.
It’s not unusual for companies to re-brand themselves with a different but similar name to their old one. A prime example of this would be Spacetime Studios’ recent re-branding to Spacetime Games. Not a major change but different enough to make a difference. Namco Bandai is moving to do something similar with their name but it won’t be a whole lot different, just more confusing at first until everyone gets used to the change.
Amazon buys Killer Instinct developer Double Helix Games and all of their intellectual properties
Back in August of 2012 Amazon created their own game development studio, appropriately named Amazon Game Studios, in an attempt to make their own games and publish them. Since the creation of this game development studio, not a whole lot has come from it aside from the odd Facebook game but there is also the the ability to make games for their own Android devices.
We have had a few attempts at some real Pokemon-style of games on Android and a few have been pulled due to being too close to the actual Pokemon franchise. A new game is heading our way soon called Monster Legacy that hopes to fill the void of a Pokemon type of game on smartphones and tablets.
Pinball Arcade by FarSight Studios is one of the two major pinball platforms on numerous platforms including Android (both mobile and consoles like Ouya). Pinball Arcade up until now would reproduce actual pinball tables that used to exist, and some still do, in arcades and other places, bringing these true to life reproductions to mobile platforms so we could all play them.
Cinemaware is a company not too different than DotEmu in a lot of ways. They both like to bring classic games to mobile platforms but DotEmu has a lot more game releases currently than Cinemaware does. Cinemaware also happens to be porting their own games (for the most part) over to Android while DotEmu specializes in other companies titles.

Many people already enjoy playing the Puzzle-RPG game 10000000 and if you happen to be reading this then you are probably one of those people. If that is in fact the case then you will be happy to hear the EightyEight Games is working on a sequel called You Must Build A Boat.
For all you developers out there who want to make apps and games from Google’s Chromecast, the SDK now has support for Google Play Services. Along with this new support, a new version of Google Play Services has begun to roll out to all Android devices in general.
