I’m sure everyone was ready for the onslaught of Xperia Play news that was going to happen once the official announcement was made yesterday so here is yet another article about the Xperia Play. Stuff you buy on the Playstation Network will not be transferable to the Xperia Play, in case you were curious.
While we didn’t think that this would be possible right off the jump or even at all, it is always good to get confirmation on these things. When it comes to the Xperia Play, anything you’ve bought or will buy on the Playstation Network, will not be transferable to the Xperia Play. This includes any retro Playstation One games.
Fishlabs just announced that they will be releasing Galaxy of Fire 2 when the Xperia Play goes on sale to the public at the end of March 2011. While this game was developed for Tegra 2 devices, it seems as though the Xperia Play will be getting a version specifically for it that will take advantage of the controls that come with it.
Yesterday Sony Ericsson officially unveiled the Xperia Play Android gaming phone at MWC 2011 and so far everyone’s impression of it has been a positive one. While the phone will be available in early Spring, the initial selection of games that will be available for the Xperia Play is already looking fairly impressive.
Well it seems the Xperia Play got a ton of exposure this weekend both during the Super Bowl and in other venues as well. Remember the commercial that got spotted last week? Apparently there is a phone that will play Playstation games and have a slide-out controller made by Sony Ericsson called the Xperia Play. This never before seen, mentioned, previewed, fondled, video taped, leaked, dismantled Android phone will most likely be unveiled officially at MWC 2011 coming up in ten days time.
Alright so by now we all know that the Xperia Play exists and we’ve seen the insides of it, seen it in action playing games and even watched Engadget fondle it. Now to really solidify the fact it is real, since Sony Ericsson keeps saying it is not, we now have an official commercial about the Xperia Play!
Starting off the day fresh with news about the Playstation Android phone that will be coming our way soon. According to Pocket-lint’s source, Sony Ericsson will not be showing the gaming device at CES 2011 but instead will be using the Mobile World Conference in February for the official launch with units being available in April.
ahhh… The Android Playstation phone. This device has already become a legend and it hasn’t even been released yet. Getting details on this device has also been a royal pain but as time passes it seems more come to the surface of the rumor pool. Today the Wall Street Journal is the source of new information regarding the possible Android Playstation phone.
While not a complete denial regarding the rumored Android Playstation Phone that has been under development, leaked, rumored about and basically beat down with a stick, Sony during their earnings call were asked about whether this device was real. Instead of answering with a denial of its existence, Sony talked about how it would happen.
