Today we welcome in the second day of the 25-themed sale Google is putting on over on the Google Play store. While there are 25-packs of books, albums, magazines and more on sale for special prices, the main meat of the sale is the games and applications from top developers that are discounted down to $0.25.

Herocraft’s latest release called The Tiny Bang Story has been put on sale for a limited time for $0.99. The Steampunk-esque game features hand-drawn art, fitting music and an enjoyable storyline to follow. However, there is no text in the game at all so following the storyline, and accomplishing goals in the game, is partly the responsibility of your imagination.
Earlier this morning we reported on a new sale Google would be putting on to celebrate passing the 25 billion overall downloads mark on Google Play. Now games and applications are starting to appear on the Google Play store for $0.25 to kick things off. It isn’t just applications and games though, there will be special 25-themed packs of music, books, magazines and more.
If you remember back near the end of 2011 the Google Play store crossed the 10 billion download threshold for overall downloads of apps and games. When that happened, Google put on a ten day sale which featured new games and applications on sale for $0.10 each day. You may also remember how ridiculously popular that sale was and how everyone had hoped Google would do it again at some point. Well it looks like that will become a reality starting today to celebrate passing 25 billion downloads.
Continuing on with more coverage of sales this weekend, Glu Mobile has also jumped on board to help celebrate this weekend by offering up a sale on all VIP subscription packages for this weekend only. Since the majority of Glu games are Free-to-play or freemium, their sale is for their VIP Club packages which are all 50% off right now.
You have to love this time of year, especially around this weekend as that is when all these sales happen whether it is just for Labor Day weekend or for longer to celebrate the end of summer. Whether this is Google planning a sale or just happens to be a group effort, either way we benefit with some great deals.
Herocraft is getting in on the Back to School action with a game sale covering four of their games, all of which will be discounted down to $0.99 for a limited time. The sale starts tomorrow and will last until September 3rd, 2012 at which point the games will go back to their regular pricing.
OrangePixel, one of the main developers of retro-style games for Android, have reduced the price of their latest title called Chrono&Cash to $0.99 for a limited time. Now you will be able to break in and steal loot a little cheaper if you manage to pick this game up while it is on sale.
AMA, along with BulkyPix, are throwing a Summer Sale right now on Google Play with two of their games. Both Pix N’ Love Rush and My Brute are on sale but in different ways. Pix N’ Love Rush is on sale for 50% off which means you can pick up a copy of this cool retro style game for $0.99.
Tomorrow is July 4th, 2012 and as always happens on the Google Play store developers are beginning to put their games on sale to celebrate tomorrow’s holiday. To start things off, Herocraft has dropped us a nice little note informing us that four of their games will go on sale starting tomorrow.
