It is pretty unanimous when talking about indie game developers here at DroidGamers that one of our favorites happen to be OrangePixel. Generally under-rated and often overlooked, OrangePixel has been consistently producing and releasing original games for Android that are usually both fun and high quality with their own unique style.
3D has been all the rage lately when it comes to technology news. Everything from 3D movies in your home to 3D console gaming and everything in between. Lately over the last week it has even spread into the mobile world which is great considering 3D gaming on Android would be fantastic, especially when it is glasses-free mobile gaming.
A few months ago we reported on the Atmel maXTouch sensors which we heading into the world of Android inside the Samsung Galaxy S line of phones. These sensors recognize an unlimited amount of touches and have a much better responsiveness while keeping power consumption low which all combine for some great multi-touch gaming on Android.

Here is a great way to start the new week off with news about Zenonia 2 and Android. Everyone who has played Gamevil’s smash hit RPG game Zenonia on their Android device have been waiting patiently for news regarding part 2 in the series. Well it seems as though Phandroid was tipped off and the official word on Zenonia 2 is: It’s coming in December!
Are you trying to develop a game by yourself or with a small group of people but don’t have the $1500-3000 for that sweet commercial developer kit you’ve been wanting. Well there are some alternatives and one is the newly released Corona Game Edition SDK by Ansca Mobile which offers cross-platform game development including for Android.
Polarbit are known for their great 3D games for Android which including Raging Thunder 1 and 2, Toon Warz, and Fuzzies. Their latest release, with partner Fabrication Games, breaks away from their standard action 3D game mold and brings a puzzle game to Android instead. It really was only a matter of time, especially after the news of Google investing in Zynga, the makers of Farmville who are expected to be releasing it for Android at some point in the near future, that another Facebook game company would release their title onto the Android market. Whom do I speak of? Why Happy Island is who, developed by Sibblingz.
So you’ve heard all the news about Zenonia by Gamevil, read the reviews, some guides and maybe even talked to a few people who have the game and still you are not totally sure whether or not you want to go buy it.
