Recently Herocraft, in conjunction with First Star Software, released a remake of the classic Boulder Dash games called Boulder Dash-XL. While this game features the same hectic style of gameplay as the classic version did from a long time ago, the visuals have been completely redone with a more 3D look to them. There are also a couple of other features that this reboot comes with to bring it more into the modern times.

Dragonplay already has a few games released worldwide for Android games but for the most part they are casino games like Live Texas Hold ‘Em Pro and Farm Casino. Well the company has announced that a new division within the company has been created called Dragonplay Casual which will deal with bringing their other games over to the rest of the world.

Mobage has an interesting looking multiplayer cross-platform RTS game on the way to Android and iOS called Apoc Wars. This particular game has a post-apocalyptic style theme to it which sort of mimics the Boarderlands type of theme to it. Visually, however, this game has a more cel-shaded look to it.

The middle of each week seems to be a rather busy time for indie developers and their game releases for Android. While the much bigger game development companies out there tend to release their games on Thursdays and Fridays, mid-week is a good time for the smaller companies and teams to get their goods out onto Google Play.
Following the news regarding what EA games are compatible with the new Samsung Galaxy S4 phone, the company has also gone ahead ad launched a new Monopoly themed games onto Google Play called Monopoly Hotels. This isn’t a board game though and instead this will let you buy, build and manage Monopoly hotels.
Following in the footsteps of Gameloft’s recent announcement regarding how many of their games will be supporting Samsung’s new Galaxy S4 phone, EA has made a similar announcement today stating that 16 of their games are already ‘enhanced’ and compatible with the Galaxy S4.
The much anticipated 0.7.0 update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition has been slightly delayed from getting pushed out onto Android and iOS. Sega released last week their zombie killing game House of the Dead: Overkill – The Lost Reels onto Android and back when we announced that the game had arrived, we mentioned that there was a few surprises for those of you who are fans of retro games. One of those surprises is a ‘Shinobi’ upgrade which is themed after the classic ninja game’s bonus shooting gallery rounds.
