Backstab is set to be released very soon for the Xperia Play exclusively for a short period of time before it comes to other ‘supported’ Android devices. A blend between Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia style gaming, Backstab features and open world and dynamic combat complete with counter-attacks and other fun stuff.
Gameloft is turning 1yr old today regarding jumping onto the Android platform with their game releases. To celebrate, they are hosting an interesting giveaway for free games. Even though this was posted on the Gameloft UK Twitter, They do state this applies to all purchased games. So perhaps it isn’t only for UK customers this time!
Gameloft just announced that the long awaited sequel to the great FPS (first-person shooter) game called N.O.V.A is now available for the Xperia Play. N.O.V.A 2 will be exclusive to the Xperia Play for at least 1 month before it lands on any other supported Android devices. If you enjoyed the first, you’ll want the second.
Gameloft was sneaky about this game release. We knew it was coming to Android but we just didn’t know exactly when. Apparently that time is now as Gameloft has released Dungeon Hunter 2 onto Android featuring some big improvements over the first one including co-op multiplayer with up to three other people!
Gameloft covers a wide variety of genres when it comes to the games they release but one that they do slightly better at then others tends to be the racing game genre. Today Gameloft just announced a new game coming to Android called Fast Five The Movie: Official Game. I’m going to let you all guess what movie this is based off of.
Gameloft recently announced that they are releasing an Action/Adventure type of game called Backstab which would be exclusive to the Xperia Play for around one month. After that month it would head to other supported Android devices. The game looks pretty entertaining to say the least and should well with the Xperia Play controls.

This time, however, there may be some things you don’t know just yet about it or why certain companies, such as Gameloft, have decided to use it instead of the Android Market. Gameloft, a developer who has spurned the Android Market due to piracy and malware issues has been reported recently stating that they are indeed going to give it a go on the newly minted Amazon Appstore. This is great news for anyone wanting a Gameloft game but not wanting to use the Gameloft store.
So it isn’t overly new news when it comes to Gameloft and the fact they will be having 10 of their games ready and optimized for the Xperia Play when it launches. However, the good folks at Gameloft did decide to make a nice little video showcasing all ten games. While none of the games are new, they look easier to play.
