One of the quad-core phones that will apparently be making an appearance at MWC 2012 is the LG 3X, their quad-core Tegra 3 Android phone. Now the official name for release seems to have come out as well as speculation that it will be the follow-up to the G2X on T-Mobile.

We don’t usually talk about specific components of Android devices often here but once in awhile there is the exception and this is one of those times. Why? Because your next Android phone, whether it is from Samsung or elsewhere, could be a lot faster than originally thought.
Well here is something right out of left field this morning. Apparently HTC will be working on Playstation certified Android devices this year, at least according to sources that has confirmed this in a report by Pocket-Lint. Even though it is ‘confirmed’ by sources, we are throwing the rumor tag on this one.

[CES2012] SteelSeries to release a mobile gaming-based controller called the Ion, fits in your pocket
SteelSeries is a company that, if you haven’t heard of them before, makes a lot of gaming peripherals, a lot of which are for competitive gaming whether for professionals or just the hardcore gamer. Apparently, through licensing the technology used in the Zeemote, they have developed a wireless controller that you can use on your Android device called the Ion.
We haven’t done an “Awesomeness” article in some time but today seems like a good day to revisit the series with what can only be described as something that is rather cool. While a lot of people don’t really mess around with a Stylus these days, this little item may change your mind, if for no other reason for novelty’s sake.
There are plenty of countries that have their own unique Android devices made by other not-so-major manufacturers and in this case the JXD S7100 Android gaming tablets comes to us straight from China. As ugly as this device looks it actually sports some pretty bad ass specs that a similar to the Samsung Galaxy SII.
Sony is beginning to roll out an update for their Sony S tablet which will bring native support for the Playstation controller. Already live out in Japan, the update will allow users to plug their Playstation controller into the Sony S Tablet via USB.
Considering all the weirdness that seems to be following the Transformer Prime quad-core Android tablet release with things like delays and pre-orders being cancelled, it seems things could be getting back on track, at least over at Amazon as there is a new 64GB model up for pre-orders.
Some bad news coming down the pipeline for anyone who has pre-ordered an Asus Transformer Prime from Amazon. Unfortunately it looks like letters (e-mails) are going out stating that orders are being canceled due to a supply shortage from the supplier.
