If you have been in the Android scene for any decent length of time then you know the Google team loves putting Easter Eggs inside each new version of the OS that comes out. Well after one day of people actually being able to fondle the new Jelly Bean OS (Android 4.1) while at Google I/O 2012, the first Easter Egg has been found.

As much as I like Android, there’s no denying the huge amount of fragmentation when it comes to software. Google announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the first day of Google I/O, and it’s only coming to a handful of devices in July. The Motorola Xoom, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S are first on the update list, but there’s no telling when other devices will be so lucky.
Between yesterday and today there have been four more Tegra-based games unveiled that will be heading our way soon including a surprising sequel to the rather crazy arcade mech shooter from HyperDevBox called ExZeus. Apparently they have decided to make a sequel, this time for Tegra-based devices called ExZeus II THD.
Coming hot off the Google I/O 2012 Day 1 Keynote event, there was a lot of information that came out of this press event. One large chunk of information which everyone should know about happens to be regarding the Google Play store which just had it’s web version updated.
Well that certainly didn’t take long with the insane amount of people trying to find every little tidbit of information regarding the two new products that are going to be announced right now during the Google I/O 2012 Day 1 Keynote session (which you can watch live here), those two items being the Nexus Tablet and Nexus Q.
Well it seems all but confirmed that the Google Nexus 7 tablet which is being made by Asus will indeed be sold on the Google Play store, probably as soon as it is officially announced during Google I/O 2012. Along with this new picture taken from the Google Play store assets, we do get a quick glimpse as to what the UI will look like.
The tablet you see here may very well be the highly anticipated Nexus tablet. For a long time now, word has been spreading that Google is planning to release a tablet that bears the Nexus branding. Asus is expected to be the manufacturer, and an announcement will most likely come at Google I/O this week.
Well one issue has been officially cleared up thanks to the Google Play store which has revealed that the next Android OS version named Jelly Bean will indeed be Android 4.1 and not Android 5.0. On a less surprising note, the first device to get this update will be the Galaxy Nexus.
Google’s Nexus Tablet to be unveiled at Google I/O, already shipping and should be available in July
Well it looks like the Google Nexus Tablet is going to be hitting store shelves a bit sooner than anyone expected it to according to a new report from Digitimes. In this report, the 7″ Nexus Tablet for Asus has already begun shipping out, at least to San Francisco where it is now going to be officially unveiled during Google I/O 2012.
We have been watching and reporting on all the rumors about the Nexus tablet Google has been wanting to release. One rumor is that Asus would be the manufacturer that would be making the device, something that makes a lot of sense. Well it is now confirmed that Asus is indeed making the Nexus tablet.
