Big news out of left field coming from Ubisoft today as they have announced that their popular Nintendo DS (also available on consoles in HD) title, Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes, will be making it’s way to Android and iOS in the near future. On top of that, the game will apparently sport some new online features as well.

If you have been in the Android scene for any decent length of time then you know the Google team loves putting Easter Eggs inside each new version of the OS that comes out. Well after one day of people actually being able to fondle the new Jelly Bean OS (Android 4.1) while at Google I/O 2012, the first Easter Egg has been found.
Animoca, who happens to have developed a fair amount of solid Android games including Stellar Escape, have released a new game onto the Google Play store this week called Lord of Magic. This particular game is quite the mash-up bringing a little bit of everything from a multitude of genres.
A hit indie adventure game that is currently available for the PC, Mac and iOS has finally crossed the mobile ocean and arrived onto Android. Developed by State of Play Games, Lume is an incredible unique game where the world is made out of cardboard and paper. Don’t go thinking this is a ‘Doodle’ style game though!
As much as I like Android, there’s no denying the huge amount of fragmentation when it comes to software. Google announced Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on the first day of Google I/O, and it’s only coming to a handful of devices in July. The Motorola Xoom, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S are first on the update list, but there’s no telling when other devices will be so lucky.

Alawar Entertainment has released a new addition to their Treasures of Montezuma match-3 puzzle series onto Android. Coming in at over 200 levels and two different difficulties, casual and expert, this is a pretty good sized puzzle game to kill some time with.
Developers of the cross-platform MMORPG for mobile called Buddy Rush are gearing up to begin releasing a new cross-platform multiplayer game called Operation CrossCounter. Sollmo has actually just released this cross-platform co-op RPG onto iOS and both the Android and web-based versions of the game are also getting ready to drop soon.
This happens more often than we actually report but game development studios and their staff, usually of the upper management / executive variety, just love to throw opinions out there which are usually attacking another company or business model in the gaming industry. Today we have the CEO of Novarama who has launched quite an attack on the freemium gaming sector.
The official mobile game for the Amazing Spider-Man movie has finally swung its way onto the Google Play store thanks to Gameloft. Appropriately named The Amazing Spider-Man, this is one of the two movie-based titles that Gameloft has coming to Android, the other being The Dark Knight Rises.
We have been keeping an eye on Rovio over the last month or so in the hopes that they would release more details about their upcoming non-Angry Birds themed game Amazing Alex. Originally a decently popular iOS game called Casey’s Contraptions, Rovio recently acquire the IP and are remaking / re-branding the game before releasing it onto both Android and iOS.
