Interesting news just coming to light regarding a Trademark filed by Motorola regarding the word/name “Stadia”. According to PocketNow, Motorola usually just lists things like ‘Cellular Phone’ in their Trademark filings but with this particular one, it goes into detail, specifically about hand-held gaming in a few ways. We did some digging to find out more.
Atmel maXTouch sensors are used in a lot of Android products, mostly Samsung phones. More device news coming our way this Monday and again from Samsung. This time instead of the Nexus S it is the W899. This is a flip phone (clamshell in other words) that features twin Super AMOLED screens (front and back) on the top half of the phone. Also it features a rather great looking gold-ish and black finish on the outside.
XDA’s community has more great news for us. After their triumph over the outdated Windows Mobile 6.5 OS on HTC’s HD2 they’ve managed to do the same with Toshiba’s TG-01. The world’s first Snapdragon equipped smartphone is now compatible with Google’s more modern Android OS. From it looks of it the Snapdragon chip manages games just fine.
We have some pretty sweet tablets available to us now like the Galaxy Tablet and in the near future such as the Notion Ink and it seems that Acer is getting into the game too. They are releasing anything half-assed either with their upcoming 10.-inch and 7-inch tablets that they just announced today at the Acer press conference.
ahhh… The Android Playstation phone. This device has already become a legend and it hasn’t even been released yet. Getting details on this device has also been a royal pain but as time passes it seems more come to the surface of the rumor pool. Today the Wall Street Journal is the source of new information regarding the possible Android Playstation phone.
Sony’s listed another Android job posting and it may be related to the last. Could it be improvement on previous products or ones we don’t know about yet? Is it cross platform integration we’ve been hearing about for a while or maybe something we’ve never considered. DroidGamers speculates.
