So right now Eric Schmidt is talking at the Web 2.0 Summit and while most of us had dismissed the idea of anything really Android related being mentioned, we all tuned in anyways just in case. Well we were not disappointed at all! Google CEO, Eric Schmidt, announced a little bit of information about Gingerbread while waving around a new phone!

ARM’s promise with Cortex A-9 chips has been tremendous. Will they really keep up with modern games, especially the pace there moving at today? Not only does it support the newest CPU’s available, similar to the ones’s Samsung is working on. It will also include a much improved (and needed) GPU improvement for video quality in games, this will be likely on tablets and high-end smartphones.
It seems as though the ghostly Nexus S is starting to make public showings… well at least to people in-store. Best Buy first had a bit of a hiccup on their website. It seems as though they got a little excited and accidentally posted an update to the mobile phones section and under T-Mobile there was an area labeled Nexus S and now photos are out!

Good news for all your avid gamers who own a Droid2 Android phone, especially if you play a lot of games using emulators. Game Gripper has now made a version of their awesome little add-on for the Droid2 phone. If you haven’t used one of these yet, they are one of the better little add-ons you can buy for your gaming needs.
It seems as though the mobile gaming arena is heating up a bit more with the sudden announcement of Sharp bringing a phone into the mix which will run Android and provide… 3D glasses-free gaming and movies. Named the Galapagos, this Android device will have a few 3D games and movies available at the time of launch.
While this doesn’t come as a huge surprise considering that all the Galaxy S phones so far include SRs 5.1 Mobile for surround sound, it is still a noteworthy announcement considering that up until now there was no word on what sort of audio we can expect with the Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Well now we know, it’ll be good!
Another day another update, that seems to be the trend right now regarding the rumored Sony Android Playstation phone, not that we are complaining. Today’s update comes in the form of more pictures, some of which show a few more of the current specs that are at least being used in this prototype version that is being photographed.
While not a complete denial regarding the rumored Android Playstation Phone that has been under development, leaked, rumored about and basically beat down with a stick, Sony during their earnings call were asked about whether this device was real. Instead of answering with a denial of its existence, Sony talked about how it would happen.
Alright, this is strictly a devil’s advocate kind of post. Personally my daily phone right now is a Nexus One and the thought of a Nexus Two is more then a delicious one, however, there are a few reasons that the upcoming Nov. 8th announcement by Samsung will not be regarding a Nexus Two phone along with it being the first to have Gingerbread 2.3 running on it.
