In the most Japanese way possible Konami finally addressed their cataclysmic move from console gaming and separation from Hideo Kojima: with a vague apology. “We are aware that the conjecture surrounding our recent changes has prompted a great deal of anxiety, for which we apologize” issued a Konami representative.

Konami brings Contra to Star Wars with a new themed mini-game as part of their Star Wars: Force Collection update
Konami has brought a little Star Wars love to Contra with a new Star Wars themed mini-game that has now gone live today. If you are a fan of either franchise, you will want to check this out, especially if you like anything related to Chewbacca, since the big hairy beast is the main character of this new mini-game.
There is a decent selection of Puzzle-RPGs out there in the wonderful world of Android games but a lot of them just spin the same mechanics as most other titles in the genre. There are a few exceptions to that of course and Konami’s newest release happens to be one of those. Their new came is called Swords & Poker Adventures and like the name suggests, Poker hands are where it is at with this game.
Konami will be releasing a second game based off of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise called Duel Generation. Unlike the first Yu-Gi-Oh title that the company released, called BAM Pocket, this one will feature mechanics much more in-tune with the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online that was released recently for the iPad.
Konami, in partnership with tri-Ace, have a time-manipulating RPG coming our way soon called Chronos Ring. If you are a fan of old school RPGs, you may instantly think of the old Chrono franchise (Chrono Trigger etc etc) from Square Enix but as far as we can tell, this is not part of that franchise although the box art and name tend to say otherwise.
Konami has followed the release of their Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes mini-game with a sneaky release of a companion app along with it. In case you are wondering why we have called this game a ‘mini-game’, it is simply because it is just a short (but pretty challenging at times) game to tide folks over till the next installment into the franchise hits everyone’s consoles in 2015 (or 2016 depending on how development goes).
A few weeks ago during Gamescom 2013 we talked about a new TCG that would be making its way to Android soon that features the Star Wars universe. Well this new TCG, called Star Wars: Force Collection, has now officially launched onto Google Play for all to download.
Back in June we brought word that Konami’s would be bringing the first full licensed Contra game to Android called Contra: Evolution. The porting / remaking of the original Contra game was done by CocoaChina/Chukong who secured the rights to handle this project and since our last article about Contra: Evolution making its way to Android, the game has already been released onto iOS. It is, however, now available for Android users as well.
Konami Digital Entertainment has announced during Gamescom 2013 that they have a new TCG coming to Android and iOS soon themed around the Star Wars universe called Staw Wars: Force Collection. This game will include heroes, villains and monsters from Star Wars Episodes I-VI so there should be plenty of variety in this game.
