Well it sure didn’t take long for some of our readers to snatch up a copy of Minecraft: Pocket Edition for Android after the update on Friday that made is accessible to non-Xperia Play Android 2.2 devices and start building big things inside of it.

After a short delay of about a week, Minecraft developers Mojang have fixed whatever the nasty little bug that was plaguing the non-Xperia Play version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition which ended up getting last week’s release of this game to everyone else delayed.

It’s been awhile since we last saw Kristen Schaal running around in an Xperia Play commercial being funny yet somewhat disturbing at the same time. Luckily for you, should you be missing her Xperia Play antics, she is back in a new clip promoting Minecraft as well as a new contest.
When Minecraft started to get really big for the PC, similar style games started to appear on the PC and other platforms. The same can be said for Android now as first we had MineBuilder and now we have Steincraft which looks pretty good already.
Last week we reported on Minecraft: Pocket Edition coming to all other Android devices today. So far the update hasn’t hit the Android Market and we now know why. According to Daniel Kaplan of Mojang, they found a nasty bug in Minecraft: Pocket Edition which needs to be fixed before it’s released.
Monday Lunchtime Awesomeness: Sony Ericsson builds an Xperia Play in Minecraft on the Xperia Play
Sometimes you just have to give credit where credit is due and right now Sony Ericsson is kicking off what we are guessing is going to be a weekly event called Minecraft Mondays. We aren’t giving them credit for that though but for the giant Xperia Play that was built in Minecraft: Pocket Edition on an Xperia Play
Danial Kaplan from Mojang has released some pretty awesome information for Minecraft fans who own Android devices that are not of the Xperia Play variety moments ago on Twitter. Through a post on Twitter which included a video, we can see Minecraft: Pocket Edition with touch screen controls.
Minecraft: Pocket Edition has been out for a short while now for the Xperia Play which currently features the classic mode (or creative mode depending on what you like to call it) where you can get to build whatever you like. Daniel Kaplan of Mojang has come out to give a general idea of where things are heading including Survival Mode.
We haven’t done a “Awesomeness” post in a couple of weeks but over the past 24 hours some videos have come to light that, considering the complexity of what was built, is just stunning to say the least. Minecraft: Pocket Edition is already out for the Xperia Play while the rest of us Android devices owners has a little longer to wait.
If you watch any sort of Minecraft videos then you’ve probably watch some from the Yogscast which is done by Simon and Lewis. Generally these two are pretty damn funny in their own shows but Sony Ericsson got them inside the majestic Xperia Play Winnebago for an interview at GamesCom.
