Back in September of last year we reported on a new turn-based strategy war game called Sword of the Stars: Ground Pounders which had just arrived onto Google Play. The developers of this game have been working hard to bring it to PC and now it is available on Steam through there Early Access program. So why are we reporting on it? Because Kerberos Productions has announced that cross-platform gameplay with Android users, among other features, is on the way.

[Updated] Mid-Week Android Game Sale Round-Up: Fist of Awesome, Toast Time, Crazy Taxi and more
Today is Wednesday, the middle of the week, hump day, countdown to the weekend has begun, or whatever your preferred way of looking at or calling what each Wednesday is. To us it means we get to list all the games currently on sale that we can find on Google Play so you can hopefully snag one or two you may not have yet while saving yourself a few bucks in the process.
AMA LTD has announced their next game that will be heading to Android soon and this new title is an interesting take on the Battleship’s style of gameplay. Artillery Strike T-7, as the game is called, has players control land-based war vehicles such as tanks and missile launchers, trying to take out their opponents vehicles.
King has been in the news a lot lately and not for the best of reasons but today is a bit different as the company prepares to file for their IPO which is looking to be valued at possibly over $500 million, at least according to the Wall Street Journal. The official press release however doesn’t mention any actual value the company is looking for.
Way back in 2012 we reported on a game not related to pinball that Zen Studios was working called CastleStorm. Android users have been waiting awhile to get their hands on this non-pinball game from the pinball experts. Well Zen Studios has told us that the game is near an official release but for right now those of you interested in this game can try to jump into the beta program for CastleStorm on Android.
Interesting news today in what looks like a little bit of regulation by Google regarding the Google Play store, something that doesn’t happen often unless it is about copyright infringement or hazardous apps and games. Apparently Google is taking down games with the word Flappy in the title.
[Updated] Chilli Hugger will be bringing the sequel Doomdark’s Revenge to Android on February 17th
Chili Hugger has announced that it will be bringing the classic sequel to Mike Singleton’s game The Lords of Midnight to mobile on February 17th, 2014. Officially titled Doomdark’s Revenge, this sequel was originally released back in 1985 and is now being remade and brought to mobile devices.
Well it is that time again for another round-up of Android games on sale this weekend. With Valentine’s Day being today, there are a decent amount of games on sale right now. We have Sega putting up a few of their titles on sale, a bunch of random games discounted, and even a few Ouya games on sale.
Jujubee has released a new video detailing the making of their upcoming sequel called Flashout 2. Originally announced as coming to Android back in August of last year, Flashout 2 is the sequel to the company’s popular 3D racing game and this video goes into details about how this sequel was made.
TreeFortress Games have brought their rather unique mash-up game called Bardbarian to Android. This game is a mash-up of Tower Defense, RPG and Bullet Hell shooter, at least that is how the developers are describing it. While the first two genres are definitely there, the Bullet Hell shooter part isn’t so much, but there is a similar style of mechanic in Bardbarian.
