Usually we end up seeing a Gameloft title appearing on the occasional Android device when a new one hits store shelves. This also is usually a demo version most of the time. Another week is coming to a close and that means it is once again time to round-up all the Android games on sale right now over on Google Play. This week’s list is actually a little small but every game in it is a good one. Sometimes it’s about quality not quantity right?
Last week we talked about a pretty decent sized update that Gameloft was gearing up to release for Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. The update even has an official name called Meltdown and features two new game modes to player against other people in, new weapons and other content to check out.
While Gameloft was at E3 2013 showing off Asphalt 8: Airborne and Modern Combat 5 (which is pretty damn good), the developers over at Gameloft have been hard at work on an update for Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour which is being called the ‘Meltdown’ update. While most updates don’t usually have a name given to them, this one is actually a pretty big update in terms of content.
Gameloft has also come out to announce that three of their games will be updated with Google Play Games features. One game we already mentioned today is Modern Combat 4 but the company will also be updating two other games as well with Google Play Games integration.
Gameloft’s Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour has had an update pushed to it today and while it isn’t the biggest update in the world, if you own a Moga Pro game controller, it is an update that will make you happy. That is because the update now adds support for the Pro version of Moga’s game controller.
Gameloft has decided to put up their most recent addition to the Modern Combat franchise on sale for a mere dollar for a limited time. For those of you who are FPS game fans and haven’t picked up Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour, now would be a good time to do so since you’ll be saving around $6 with this sale.
It appears that Android gamers are getting a double shot of good news in the past 24 hours. Along with Rockstar Games putting Grand Theft Auto: Vice City back onto the Google Play store, Gameloft has also put Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour back up as well after it to was taken down due to some downloading issues users were experiencing.
What was supposed to be the official launch of Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour last night has unfortunately taken a turn for the worst and Gameloft has pulled the game from Google Play temporarily. The problem? Well we don’t exactly know what specifically the issue was but a Gameloft spokesperson did release a statement to PocketGamer to address the issue… sort of.
