Casual games are something that I tend to play little of only because I’m more the fast and furious gamer who enjoys FPS titles and racing games, Action adventure and platformers. So when diving into a casual game for a review, I have to keep in mind that I’m not trying to get a headshot on someone else.
There’s a huge advantage in the mobile gaming market nowadays, that has become crucial for a big amount of developers: you don’t need to make an eye-popping games full of superb graphics to be successful. As a consequence of this, games are now rated for their content, theme, ability to hook people, and creativity. This is the case of Kairosoft: a company that has really hit the spot with their Time-Resource management games. And one of their latest releases just confirms this. Let’s take a look at “Cafeteria Nipponica”.
Let’s be honest, Doom isn’t just a legend amongst players nowadays, It’s more of a lifestyle. It defined the term FPS back in the 90’s, and keeps being played to this very day. Now, if you used to think “oh, it just looks so damn pixelated and I’d rather get one of those awesome-looking games on my tablet”, you better start getting those bucks out of your pocket, since this OpenGLES port of Doom, Doom II, Ultimate Doom (and virtually any IWAD out there) will surely get you back to some martians-ass-kicking.

This last week, one of my favorite game publishers were very generous to us. Gamevil released not one, but two retro-style RPG games. Being a Gamevil fan and lover of retro RPG, it seemed quite fitting for me to review at least one of them. So here we go.
Romance of Rome is a new hidden object game from Herocraft. While I do not play a lot of hidden object type games, this game is nicely done and quite enjoyable. So let’s get into the review shall we?
You are the last survivor on Mars – can you survive? Meltdown on Mars THD is a relatively new game for Tegra 2 Android tablets and a very good one at that. The game is simple – survive at all costs. This top down shooter is an interesting combination of a 3rd person shooter and tower defense.
One of the first games I purchased for Android was Highborn. The graphics, story line, and it being a turn-based strategy game are what drew me to the game. It was one of the best purchases I have made for my Android device. If you enjoy turn-based strategy games with a sense of humor, you need to pick up one or all three chapters of Highborn.
I have seen the game Age of Conquest in the app market for some time but had not gotten around to trying it. As a fan of strategy games, I decided I needed to, and I am glad I did! Age of Conquest is an awesome little game for those who enjoy turn-based strategy games on the go.
Tropical Stormfront is a new real time strategy game from Noble Master Games. If you enjoy games commanding troops in battle and destroying your enemy, then you should like Tropical Stormfront. Make sure you do not walk away from a game, without pausing it. You will be sorry!
