You’ve probably been reading all about the Asus Transformer Prime and Tegra 3 quad-core chips for the past month or two at least. Well for those of you who have been drooling over the Transformer Prime and saving up those pennies to get one, the official Asus Transformer Prime page is up and pre-order are also live over at Amazon or Asus.

nVidia has released a new video showcasing Android’s latest OS, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich (or Android 4.0 for those of you who dislike desserts), but instead of having it running on a prototype Tegra 3 quad-core tablet, they are showing it off on a production model of an Asus Transformer Prime.
Over the past 24 hours or so there have been plenty of rumors floating around about upcoming Tegra 3 quad-core tablets that could be heading our way. While the Asus Transformer Prime is official, Lenovo recently got some news time with their apparent Tegra 3 tablet that is coming. Now HTC and Acer are joining the party.
Lenovo has apparently had their upcoming Tegra 3 quad-core tablet specs leaked today and so far they are looking pretty serious in terms of power. This new Lenovo tablet will be running the latest version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich and will be stuffed with a Tegra 3 quad-core chipset.
If we were to guess which manufacturer would have the first Kal-El tablet leaked, we would have said Motorola or perhaps Samsung, maybe even LG. What we wouldn’t have said was ZTE but apparently that is the case in what has been leaked out of China.
Archos had a decent run with their first few Android tablets that they released but one of the drawbacks to them was the lack of Android Market access. Well that has changed with their new line of tablets heading our way. They also stepped up their game when it comes to hardware too.
Back during CES 2011 we got to take a look at Toshiba and their offering for the Android tablet market. This 10.1″ beastly tablet was one of our favorites out of the entire show back then. Over the past few months since CES, there really hasn’t been a whole lot of info aside from official specs released.
We saw these tablets previewed back during CTIA 2011 by Samsung and now the wait is almost over if you’ve been wanting one since then. Samsung is getting ready to release their 10.1 dual-core Android tablet onto the market for public consumption starting June 8th in New York City.
Everyone has probably heard by now that Amazon has some goodies in the works when it comes to Android devices. Well some news regarding their tablets that are being developed has come out that these devices, codenamed Coyote and Hollywood, will be multi-core Android tablets, slated for release near the end of this year.

What an interesting 24hours it has been regarding Sony and the Playstation Network. Sony held a press conference early this morning to announce officially their two upcoming Android tablets, codenamed the S1 and S2. Both will be Playstation certified. This afternoon, Sony finally came clean about what happened to the PSN as well.
