While everyone with an original Shield Android TV console is waiting to get the Android 7.0 (a.k.a Nougat), which has plenty of confusion as to exactly when that will be arriving (around a week from now), the Shield Android TV isn’t the only Shield device getting the OS update soon. The Shield Tablet will also be getting the OS update but that is still a bit further in the future.

Heroes of the Dungeon, the least imaginatively titled RPG in the world, released a new content update for their crawler this week. It’s pretty jam packed with content including two new solo chapters, a new dungeon environment within the Pyramid of Egypt, new heroes, and a World Boss game mode which will allow players over level 50 server-wide asynchronous co-op boss battles. Whew!
Age of Empires has been a mainstay in the RTS world for almost 20 years now. Coming this March we’ll be able to enjoy it on our Android devices, as well. Microsoft studios has partnered with Smoking Gun interactive to deliver Age of Empires: Castle Siege. While it definitely sounds more in the vein of the rash of mobile war games, I’m hoping it will differentiate itself enough in game play to pay homage to the Franchise.
If you are looking to steal away a few minutes of time for a light bit of fun, then Pixel Jum’s mini-game Orphan is perfect for you. You play as an unnamed street urchin looking to reallocate funds from the wealthy to yourself in a pixelated Dickensian London. The game is extremely simple, you just need to scrap together enough money stolen from people for food for the day avoiding cops, thugs, and starvation.
“In a time of gun and sword, the magical stone that maintains the balance of the world is stolen by high-tech aliens. The world is hanging on a thin thread. It all depends on you retrieving the magical stone…” That’s the description accompanying Chinese based developer, ChillyRoom’s new title, launched in an open beta on Google Play.
Released by Chonobit Studios, Lunaform is a newly released arcade/puzzle game for the Android platform. In this game, players will have a collection of colored hexes set in the middle of the screen. Traveling toward these hexes, from the screen’s periphery, are stars of coral style colors.
There’s a good amount of stickman style games on mobile, all of which are generally pretty entertaining. A new one is heading our way later this month called Collect or Die, and will be a hardcore platformer with plenty of blood to go along with the frustrating (yet fun) difficulty of the game.
Under the Radar: Hold off waves of hostile aliens to survive in XenoShyft, now available from Google Play
Based on the eponymous board game, XenoShyft is a deck building game that’s now playable on Android. In this game, players will assume control of the NorTec army, specifically those that are assigned to defending a particular base which housed a mining operation that’s in search of a dangerous fuel source called Xenosathem. This fuel tends to pervert and mutate life that’s exposed to it.
Dragon’s Blaze (GAMEVIL) welcomes two new Titans for you to enjoy, Atlas and Thetis. I’m not sure that they’re visually what the myths tried to encompass, but if you ally with a vivacious yet somehow pre-pubescent girl to destroy your enemies…well, they won’t be around to question you. All the details are below!
KizStudio’s cute stealth adventure game Little Bigfoot expands today with a new character and a new map. Players can now play as the swift and pudgy Yowie, and travel to the land Down Under in the Way Outback map.
