Webzen today has pushed out a decent sized content expansion for their mobile MMORPG called MU: Origin. This update brings with it a new Companion System, new wings tiers for you wing fanatics out there, and other goodies more in-tune with the holiday season. This is actually the second part to November’s update which added the new Magic Knight class to the game.

Earlier this month Webzen announced that their mobile MMORPG called MU: Origin would be getting a Western release in the near future and that they were going to start beta testing the game for the West. Well the first closed beta was held last week, ending very early this morning. We were fortunate enough to be a part of that closed beta, letting us go hands on with the upcoming Western version of MU: Origin.
Gamescom is underway and today during Electronic Arts’ press conference, they announced that their Origin game store would be arriving on Android at some point. Interesting news considering yesterday’s story about EA looking to Windows 8 mobile as their possible central platform focus for mobile gaming.
About a month ago we mentioned that EA confirmed the continuation of the Madden series on mobile devices including Android. For those of you who have been waiting for this day to arrive, you can now get down and dirty with Madden 12 from EA as it has launched today on the market.
You may remember us reporting on EA’s Origin service over the last couple of month. This service is to be direct competition to Steam but above and beyond that, it was supposed to also bring more social features to their games on iOS and Android, and eventually sell their games on there for mobile as well.
EA has confirmed that the new addition to the Madden series of football games will be coming to multiple platforms including Android at some point next month. They also announced that Need for Speed: Shift 2 would be coming as well but only for iOS for now unfortunately.
EA has re-launched their Origin website and with the new features looks to take on Steam at their own game. So what does this have to do with us? The new Origin will also be focusing on mobile gaming as well which includes Android. The site now acts just like Steam does for PC/console gamers.
