You hear a lot of games being ported to Android from iOS usually and the odd one from PC but rarely do we hear about a game from a console coming to Android. Even more rare is the fact that it will be coming from the Wii of all places but that is exactly what LostWinds developer Frontier Developments is doing.

There are two new platformers that are being developed, one already is out for iOS, that may soon be making their way to Android as well. While both are platform games, both have completely opposite gameplay styles. Let us introduce you to Idyllic by FatCowGames and Wyv and Keep by A Jolly Corpse.
While it won’t be an FPS (first-person shooter) game like it’s big brother, the Serious Sam franchise will be making it’s way onto Android (and iOS) this month in the form of a running platformer. In fact you won’t even be playing as Sam but instead as Sam’s rival, Headless Kamikaze, instead.
Diversion is an interesting game that was released onto the Android Market about 4 days ago by developers EZone. Diversion is a 3D platform game where you run through each stage, collecting gems and jumping/swim/fly over gaps and obstacles until you reach the end zone.
Amazon’s App Store has a new game for free today called Kona’s Crate. This is a physics-based platform racing game which HD-quality graphics and some really addictive gameplay. Sometimes being a delivery boy (or girl) can be a lot of fun as this game shows.

If you happen to be wondering what Super Mario (or similar games) would look like after dropping a few hits of acid, then you will be pleased to know that Kami Retro is now available for Android. Developers by PawPrint Games and published through Gamevil, this is one crazy retro platformer.
At first we had Angry Vikings which was a game that tried to stuff as much blood into it as possible without going overboard and ruining it. Now we have a new game from HandyGames called Happy Vikings and while there is no blood involved, there is plenty of booze and gold instead. Must be why they are happy.

Today, for us Android users that free game is Doodle Jump. Normally 99 cents, Doodle Jump has over 250,000 downloads in the regular Android Market and is rated at 4.5/5 stars.
