The world of Android-powered game console has just gotten a little bigger today as BlueStacks has announced that they are getting into the console world with GamePop. What is interesting about GamePop isn’t so much that it is an Android-powered game console, there seems to be a new one every couple of months, but its business model as it will be a monthly subscription service.

The UK retailer GAME has the Android-powered console available for pre-orders through the company’s website as of this morning. The pre-orders, which currently have no shipping date attached to it, are available for £99 for those of you who want to pre-order one for the first line of shipping for people who didn’t back the console’s Kickstarter campaign.
For those of you who have decided to go a different route when it comes to Android gaming devices outside of the norm but didn’t want to buy an OUYA, PlayJam has opened up global pre-orders for their portable GameStick game console… or unconsole as some of these new Android gaming devices are now being called.
OUYA just made a Facebook post updating everyone on the status of the pre-orders for their upcoming Android-based game console. For those of you who have been on the fence about pre-ordering one, which would have you receiving one by April 2013, time is running out if you want to get in on the pre-order action.
Today Amazon held their press event in which they announced a new eReader along with a whole new line of Android Kindle Fire tablets. The new line of tablets, dubbed the Kindle Fire HD, comes in four different flavors depending on what your needs/desires are. There is the 7″ Kindle Fire HD WiFi, 8.9″ Kindle Fire HD WiFi, 8.9″ Kindle Fire HD 4G/LTE. Along with those three tablets, the Kindle Fire 2 tablet was also announced.
The larger brother of the Galaxy Note from Samsung has apparently quietly slipped onto Amazon for pre-orders already. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 quad-core tablet will roll on out when it is release with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) and is apparently going to be available as soon as 3-5 weeks.
While the rest of us here in the U.S. have to wait to get our hands on Samsung’s latest addition to the Galaxy line of Android phones, the Samsung Galaxy S III, UK residents can now begin pre-ordering it off of Amazon UK. The only difficult question you will be facing is what color you want.
You’ve probably been reading all about the Asus Transformer Prime and Tegra 3 quad-core chips for the past month or two at least.
