We have been covering the development and upcoming release for Fedeen Games’ upcoming MMORPG called Forsaken World Mobile. However, we have never been able to give any sort of an exact release date, only that it would be coming soon. We did, however, mention that we figured it would be arriving this month and it looks like we were right as Fedeen Games has announced a July 23rd release date.
Former Triple-A dev will be releasing his first indie project onto Android soon called Swipey Rogue
First-Order Games is a one-man indie game development studio founded by John Sahas who previously spend the past 12 years with Neversoft. He was a designed / programmer on four different Tony Hawk titles as well as 6 Guitar Hero titles. He then went back to the Activision studio family, after a short stint working with different indie studios, to take a role as Multiplayer Designer at Infinity Ward for 2 Call of Duty games. The big day is almost upon us and even though it is the middle of the Summer, it almost really does feel like Black Friday in a lot of ways. The anticipation of possibly scoring a couple of awesome deals tomorrow, but having to wait a whole day to really check out everything, is a lot like Black Friday. However, when Amazon’s Prime Day starts tomorrow, Amazon will be pumping out more deals than we would see on the actual Black Friday.
Hardline Studios has announces what will be their second release onto Android soon with a game called metaBall. Hardline Studios is the company behind the rather enjoyable space shooter Alpha Wave, but their new game is a lot different from that particular genre. After sitting and thinking of a proper way to describe this game, the best way to do it is with how the developer describes it: Marble Madness meets Q*Bert in a Tron universe.
OrangePixel’s next title that will be eventually getting released soon is Space Grunts. We’ve reported on this game a few times already during the development process and now we all get to check out plenty of gameplay thanks to a new video from OrangePixel. Monster Hunter style game The World II begins limited region testing complete with multiplayer finally
We have only had a few games arrive on Android that would be considered a Monster Hunter style of game, and even those games don’t really reach the level that Monster Hunter is at as a franchise. However, there are a couple of them that do come close but unfortunately lack certain elements such as multiplayer. One of those games is called The World II: Hunting Boss which is pretty much Monster Hunter on mobile but only as a single-player game. Multiplayer has been promised for a long time for that game, and now it appears that the planned multiplayer expansion will, in fact, be a separate release.
In the world of hybrid games we have seen some pretty interesting genre and gameplay combinations eventually getting released onto Android. Alco Invaders is an upcoming title from India Game Studio, ironically located in the Ukraine. The developers have taken a side-scrolling space shooter and combined it with tower defense mechanics to create what they are calling an Action-Defense genre.
Mobcrush is a relatively new service for gamers who want to stream gameplay while playing games on their mobile device. The difference between this and what Twitch does is that Mobcrush is completely mobile-based, where as Twitch is not. But what each one does is basically the same thing, which is allowing people to watch other people play games.
