DotEmu has announced that the classic arcade game that they have brought over to Android called R-Type is now compatible with the Zeemote JS1. The Zeemote is a bluetooth controller with an analog stick and four button in which you can map out depending on what game you’re playing.
We haven’t posted a free game of the day from Amazon in a short while but today seems like a good day to start back up thanks to Amazon putting up Eve of the Genesis HD up on the App Store for Android for free today. This is a pretty solid old school Final Fantasy style RPG for your Android device.
Well here is a bit of a chance of pace when talking about the Xperia Play and games for Android. Sega has confirmed that, while the Sonic CD game is supposed to support game controlled, it will not be optimized for the Xperia Play, at least not right now.
Retro game fans have a little more good news today aside from INC becoming available to all Android devices. First Star Software has updated Boulder Dash – The Collection and it now includes all of the original cave packs that were originally not available until now. To celebrate, they have put everything on sale as well.
OrangePixel’s newest game, called INC, was release recently as a temporary exclusive for the Xperia Play. For those of you who are actually eager to get your hands on the port of this classic Sega game, some new information has come to light about it. Sonic CD, while already available to anyone who buys an Android tablet at GameStop, is set to release onto Android this December.
Not too long ago Atari released their ‘Greatest Hits’ game package on iOS and at that time there was no mention that this would make it’s way over to Android. Well apparently Atari didn’t want to leave Android out of the retro gaming fun and have released the same package, called Atari’s Greatest Hits, onto the Android Market.
Earlier today a few sites had reported on a game that recently made it’s way onto the Android Market called Duck Hunt. As it sounds from the title, it was a more unofficial port of the classic Nintendo game from way back in the day many of us used to play all the time while cursing the laughing dog.
Andor’s Trail has been on the Android Market for quite some time already and being that the code is open source, it will be there for some time to come too. Recently it received an update that brought a whole lot to the game, bringing it to another level of retro RPG goodness.
Pinball fans have something to talk about as veteran Pinball game development studio, Farsight, have announced a whole new collection of Pinball games coming to just about every platform, including Android. You may be familiar with their other collections such as the Pinball Hall of Fame in 2004 and again in 2008 featuring different companies that made real pinball game and their table designs.
